iPhone + laptop wireless internet question

Hi. I pay for the iPhone wireless internet. I have heard there is a way I can plug my phone into my laptop allowing for wireless internet on my laptop wherever my phone has an internet signal. Is this possible?

I haven't seen anything about it on TUAW which is a pretty good site for iPhone news. I'm not sure why you would want such a slow connection though.

I did it already so it def works but the iphone has a full featured browser so I can't really figure why you need it, can't play poker over edge, whether you're on an iphone or laptop.
