SQL syntax error?
 

Have tried to register a bonus account after signing up to one of the poker sites, however keep getting to following error:

"You have an error in your SQL syntax; check the manual that corresponds to your MySQL server version for the right syntax to use near"

Any idea what I need to do, cheers.

Have you been able to get on a different account on the same computer? Or is this your first account on this site.

Perhaps try another computer and see if you can login, then you will know if it's the computer that is the problem.

Do you have any special characters in your name like *%|\ etc?

I'm going to guess that the special character is the single quote ' and it is in Deegy's name somewhere, maybe in last name like O'Brian or D'Errico.

MySQL uses this to mark start and stop of strings, and a sloppy programmer could easily forget to escape single quotes in text.
