[NL200] Bottom set 280BB deep vs 3 bet on flop. I want to fold.
 

Villain is a solid 27/17/1.67, maybe a little passiv.
I am playing very nitty.

I call PF to set mine, of course, and I hit a beautiful board. But his 3 bets, so deep is soooo scary :
- overset (99/TT) ?
- big PP who wants to know where he is (but so deep [img]/images/graemlins/confused.gif[/img] ) ?
- semi bluff with a draw ? QJs/78s ?
- AIR ?

Can I fold, must I 4 bets, just call ?

You basically min-raised the flop. And now you are surprised that he's 3-betting you?

Your line looks ridic. full of [censored] and he could be bluffing here a lot.

You should be capable of raising a flop like this with air this deep, and he should know this.

If you aren't capable of that, then you aren't really exploiting your positional advantage enough -- it should be scary as [censored] for him to play OOP this deep.

as others have said, raise more on the flop and call the 3bet. i don't know why you'd want to fold. all the things you think might be in his range (air, 78/qj, overpair, set) are in his range, so you definitely have enough equity to continue.

So, I don't like a lot of answers : OMFG, I have a set, I am all-in, who don't consider how villain is playing and why he 3 bets the flop ; how is my image &amp; the deep stakes...
I have a set OK, but why villain is not affraid ?

My initial plan was to raise big A LOT of flop (all ?), because oop and so deep, villain will fold a lot of hands (probably AA-), especially to a second barrel on the turn.

When I flop my set (great result), my goal was to not frighten villain. If I raise small the flop, bet 2/3 on the turn &amp; the river, I could be easily paid by any overpair/TP type hand. If I raise big on this flop, he will fold a lot... That's a reversed pot control [img]/images/graemlins/blush.gif[/img] ! And if the 280BB goes all-in on this flop/turn, I am behind 99 times/100.

So, I call the flop raise with the intention to fold to a big turn bet from this guy. Obv call/raise if he bets small &amp; obv bet if he checks.

280BB is not super deep ^^

I think there are alot of hands that 3bet you on the flop that you are ahead of besides sets. Many players here could be doing with big pair // top 2. So calling the 3bet on flop should be no-brainer.

Whats interesting if you don't get your quads on the turn do you still stack off.

IMO you should be getting this in on almost any turn.

ye u gotta call (and try to get as much money in on the turn and river) villain could be holding plenty of hands in this situation other than overset. what more, I would not consider his 3bet deep at all given the pot odds ur getting and the stacks still remaining
