http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20071128/ap_on_fe_st/odd_million_dollar_bill[/url] AIKEN, S.C. - A bank teller in Clearwater had a million reasons not to open an account for an Augusta, Ga., man Monday, authorities said. Alexander D. Smith, 31, was charged with disorderly conduct and two counts of forgery after he walked into the bank and tried to open an account by depositing a fake $1 million bill, said Aiken County Sheriff's spokesman Lt. Michael Frank. ADVERTISEMENT The employee refused to open the account and called police while the man started to curse at bank workers, Frank said. The second forgery charge came after investigators learned Smith bought several cartons of cigarettes from a nearby grocery store with a stolen check, Frank said. The federal government has never printed a million-dollar bill, Frank said. |

Of course that's a forgery. It looks nothing like the real ones I have locked away for retirement.

But look at how withered and used it looks, like it's been used to tip stripper's and NY cabbies.

Re: The new One Million Dollar bill added to US currency
I like how the guy first risked using a forged check to buy cigarettes, and then tried this technique.
As though he couldn't have bought cigarettes safely if his million dollars had gone through. |
Re: The new One Million Dollar bill added to US currency
looks real, he should have just made $20/50/100 bills and used those
|
Re: The new One Million Dollar bill added to US currency
i like how it was printed in 2005

Re: The new One Million Dollar bill added to US currency
Soon a €500 bill will be worth more then a $1.000.000 bill anyway
|
Re: The new One Million Dollar bill added to US currency
The real largest denomination bill ever produced by the U.S. treasury. Kinda baller.

Re: The new One Million Dollar bill added to US currency
I take that back. The $10,000 bill was printed until 1969, when the government recalled all of them.

LOL @ Salmon P. Chase on 10K. We apparently ran out of presidents.
Also, I'm a better counterfeiter than the guy in the OP. |
