My hand is face up right?

BB is 44/15 and likes to donk at a lot of flops with a wide range of hands. SB is 21/12/2.5 and seems slightly poor.

Party Poker, $1/$2 NL Hold'em Cash Game, 6 Players
LeggoPoker.com - Hand History Converter

BB: $436.44
UTG: $189
MP: $750.45
Hero (CO): $197
BTN: $200
SB: $212.85

Pre-Flop: K[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] A[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] dealt to Hero (CO)
2 folds, Hero raises to $8, BTN folds, SB calls $7, BB calls $6

Flop: ($24) 8[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] 2[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] K[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (3 Players)
SB checks, BB bets $12, Hero raises to $47, SB raises to $204.85 and is All-In, BB folds, Hero ?

Easy fold imo.

I can't imagine calling this.

Wow I was quite surprised by instafold responds when I thought ay first BB shoved not SB. Fold as fast as possible.

Even if SB isn't great, he is doing this with a draw never.

muck this quickly

Re: My hand is face up right?

i think this is closer than people are making it out to be. if he has exactly 88 or 22 props to him i guess, but i think it's also just as likely that he has some club draw that he's too stubborn to fold. something like KcQc could play it like this, no?

also i dunno wtf is up with the title, OP's range as perceived by villain is quite wide

Re: My hand is face up right?

A guess he could have AA as well.

My hand isn't face up though? When BB leads out, i think my RR is pretty obvious.

well your read is BB donks a ton, so you should be raising pretty wide to take his monies, yea?

Re: My hand is face up right?

depends how likely he is to do this with a flush draw. He looks really strong, but you only lose to 88/22. Plus given that donkey donks a lot you could be raising a wider range

Do you expect a 20/10/2.5 to be basically cold-shoving a buyin because we *may* be raising light?

Easy fold. He check/shoved over a raise and re-raise lol.

you're telling me you never look at AcJc here in villain's spot and think "[censored] it, i want to go all in?"

i mean, i'm not saying i don't find the fold button eventually but if i'm playing poorly for whatever reason i will def shove the bare nfd sometimes.

Bulletproof Monk 11-27-2007 07:45 PM

Re: My hand is face up right?

i think he shoves nfd a decent amount

its still a fold tho, SAWB and all that

you can't argue that it doesn't make it more likely, however unlikely it may be

OK, it's possible, but IMO not often enough to call.

Re: My hand is face up right?

that's fair enough. I was just making an observation that will hopefully add something the discussion

i doubt this guy is too perceptive either, but if you have been raising these donk bets q. a bit, he may be picking up on that.

He doesn't have to do this with many flush combos to make this a call. Add in the fact that he won't play a set like this 100% of the time, and the small chance he shoves KQ and it's close. def not a snap fold.

Re: My hand is face up right?

it's a not an ez ez fold for me given the reads, that being said, i muck it here because we've shown strength and gotten shoved on anyway

BGnight 11-27-2007 09:21 PM

Re: My hand is face up right?

Depends on if this guy is dumb or solid. Yesterday I had a guy w/ similar stats (albeit a smaller stack) push over a raise and a reraise w/ AJo on a A rag rag flop.
I still think this is a fold vs unknown w/ these stats, but I wouldn't be surprised to see NFD's (as US stated), combo draws, and as little as KQ, KJ.
There seems to be lots of players w/ these stats that overplay the [censored] outta top pair.

Phytopath 11-27-2007 09:32 PM

Re: My hand is face up right?

Seems like a pretty easy fold IMO, if you are ahead it is barely and if you are behind you are pretty much drawing dead.

I like the way you played the flop with the raise of the donk, but then you need to let it go.
