If I want to do a squeeze play here, how much should I raise?

What hands is good squeezeplay hands?

Re: NL100: Squeezeplay spot

When you do a squeeze play, the first thing to consider is not your hand, it's the players that already in the pot. In your case, 11% preflop raise and 27% steal is a little bit low for me. Plus, I'd rather squeeze with air than a semi-legit hand, especially Axs kind of hands to avoid domination.

What do you think about my 3bet-size?

Don't like squeezing here. He's not opening up too much on the button, and his high VPIP means we can assume, with lack of a better read, he may very well be calling reraises light.

If you do I'd raise to 17

this is not a good hand to squeeze with at all. id rather do it with a hand like 76 then A3 esp OOP

I think it more comes down to it being the wrong opponents, this works better if it's a TAG raising on the button, here you're just too likely to get called.

I could see calling a taking a flop here though, if they play in a compatible way postflop. (IE. BTN isn't too agressive etc.)

Thank you for the answers!

Is a 70% cbet frequency smart after a squeeze OOP gets called against regular TAG's?

Re: NL100: Squeezeplay spot

most of the times this is not the sopot where i squeeze. Just dont like doing it with a3s and the stealer doesnt have that wide of a range. However, plenty of times whjen the flow of the game dictates i make a squeeze here

Aquadougs lets say u squeez, and one or both villans call..

Flop comes Axx, what now ? If you bets and he goes AI, what then? even if he calls, what then? , this is going to be a bad situation. Avoid it! I would say call/fold with the hand.

Re: NL100: Squeezeplay spot

I don't like to squeeze here with A 3 suited, mainly because I think there is more potential in playing this pot three handed against a couple of pretty loose players.

Against these players in this spot, i would play the hand straightforward, so A 3 suited is a good multi wayhand, and you will play it for flush, straight, 2pair etc and extract value out of these villians as opposed to bluffing them.

What if they fold over half the time to my cbet? Then the cbet is profitable as a bluff. If they call (Axx), i can hit two pair, so 50% is not neccessary. Even if the cbet is unprofitable, it increases the EV of a future non-bluff cbet. I think many will fold often to a 3bet-cbet because of frequent failed setmining.

Im not saying that I know the answer, only trying to understand. Do I have a unbalanced weighting of the significant factors?

Anyways, Im agreed that i should fold preflop in the situation above.

Spot on, I'd call here.
Squeeze bet size: I usually do pot+1 or 2 BB

If you somehow do squeeze and the 3bet is called I check an A high flop often fwiw to get more value out of 99+ pairs

Re: NL100: Squeezeplay spot

Axs sux in general and is def not squeezeworthy.

Depedning COMPLETELY on reads of villain(s) squeeze MP raisers onwards with callers with suited conns (56 at lowest), suited semiconns occasionally, mid pairs+ and AK. maybe AQs...
