REAL SCENARIO, PLAY MY GAME
You are working in a marketing position for a Lubrications company. You contact a printing /design business to have T shirts made for a boat racing event. You restrict the artist to only 3 hours of art work at $35 / hr. The printing / design studio uses those three hours to make this:

You got me excited at "Lubrication company", then I saw the shirt design. Racing oil-rolled.

Re: REAL SCENARIO, PLAY MY GAME
there needs to be something in between stoked and good start... i would be happily pleased.

Re: REAL SCENARIO, PLAY MY GAME
yeah looks good to me. simple and gets the point across.

Re: REAL SCENARIO, PLAY MY GAME
beat: the guy didn't like it. My company is pretty new and we can't be wasting time doing art for people who aren't going to buy, very lame.

Re: REAL SCENARIO, PLAY MY GAME
basically anything with a white t shirt is gonna be crap imo
|
Re: REAL SCENARIO, PLAY MY GAME
I gave it a "meh". There's nothing at all eye-catching about it, but it gets the name and product across. And there's nothing terrible about it at all. I think it's a fine job for three hours' work.
EDIT: So I guess I'd say it's somewhere between a "meh" and a "good start". It's far from a situation where you'd demand your money back. You can't expect mind-blowing work everytime you contract somebody. |
Re: REAL SCENARIO, PLAY MY GAME
Its funny how [censored] some of the stuff these printing/design studios make. Well yeah, it's simple and works but nothing more. Most of the people who design this stuff is oldish, somewhat stupid people who know a little bit about photoshop but really lack artistical eye for designing anything.
Imo the best way to order a work like this is to get to know the artist and see some of his/her works. Then dont give any maximum time for designing etc, every decent artist knows that a project like this wont be a work of a lifetime and if they want orders in the future too, they wanna keep their customers happy. |
Re: REAL SCENARIO, PLAY MY GAME
the logo seems like it's too close to the neck but i've seen plenty of hillbillies wearing way uglier shirts advertising boats/oil/etc. i voted 'good start' fwiw.
edit: after looking at boring web site that's on the shirts, i think they look just fine. |
Re: REAL SCENARIO, PLAY MY GAME

Re: REAL SCENARIO, PLAY MY GAME
For the price you're paying you deserve 1 white t-shirt and 1 black Sharpie marker.
Included should be instructions to design your own t-shirt, you cheap mofo. |
