$11 NLTRN - 25/50: what is villain\'s range here?

Villain has show himself to be a blufftastic aggro-monkey. He will bet to chase flushes/straight, and then bet on the end when he misses. He randomly goes allin PF. The story of the match so far is that I bleed chips for while, then play calling station if I hit a flop and get a huge chunk of chips:

Blinds 25/50
Hero: 1790 (button)
Villain: 1210

Dealt to Hero: XX

Hero raises to 100
Villain calls 50

Flop: 6[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] 3[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] 4[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]

Villain checks

Villain raises to 400

[*]What is villain's range here? [*]Assuming that calling is really out of the question (because we might have a little fold equity, what is our shoving range here?
How does he play with marginal made hands? Has he checkraised before, or does he usually lead out?

This was the 50th hand of the match, and I'd only seen one marginal made hand from him: He also later check-called the flop and river on KKAx board with a naked A.

On the 4th hand he c/r'ed my cbet all in (to 840) on an AKx flop. I folded.

He hasn't led OOP at all, but has continued OTB plenty.

Agreed. How did I not figure that out myself? Bluffing monkeys always have TPTK when they reraise in this spot. Never anything else.

Does anyone actually have a reply here?

This is why you're not getting much of a reply:

Point taken, but I also provided more detailed description of his play in the OP and in response to Landonfan.

Additionally, villain's line is a bit atypical of his normal 'blufftastic' behavior, which would be shoving, I think.

His range cannot be determined because all hands have odds to call if you only minraise.

That being said, my best guess would be

6x, 4x, or two spades

Do you find most $11 players are taking odds into great consideration?

So do you think he folds no hands to the cbet?

Do you think there are no hands he flatcalls with? He's check-called before, as I've said.

Alright let's try this a different way.

What (and why) is your response to villain's raise if you have:
1. 7s8s
2. As9s
3. 55 (one spade)

for 1 and 2 i say shove because their both in pretty good shape almost always, often >50% making it +EV

#3, i cant fold it to a maniac opponent but am also a little uneasy about shoving it so i'd probably just call and re-evaluate the turn

Re: $11 NLTRN - 25/50: what is villain\'s range here?

This is a bluff very often. With you flush draw and the overs, you have already near to 50% equity, add the fold equity and this is a standard shove. With the 55, Im torn between shoving the flop and calling and calling/shoving the turn on a non-spade.
I expect him to bluffshove the turn a fair amount of the time, plus he likely shoves draws that didn't come in and any pair. The only problem is you cannot really call a turn shove when a spade comes, allowing him to bluff you off the best hand.
