400 NL : big draw but....

I'm playing tag 22/17/3 style, he is 20/11/2, unknown
I have comments but I'll wait for a few responses first

Poker Stars, $2/$4 NL Hold'em Cash Game, 4 Players
LeggoPoker.com - Hand History Converter

BTN: $768.45
SB: $396
BB: $400
Hero (UTG): $565

Pre-Flop: J[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] A[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] dealt to Hero (UTG)
Hero raises to $14, BTN folds, SB calls $12, BB folds

Flop: ($32) T[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] K[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] 8[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (2 Players)
SB checks, Hero bets $25, SB raises to $75, Hero ?

What is your plan on this flop, what percentage of the time do you cbet this flop ?

Re: 400 NL : big draw but....

call, push most turns. 3bet is an option if you have a good reason.

i cbet 100% unless i planned on raising a turn lead for some reason.

Re: 400 NL : big draw but....

I always c-bet this flop as well.

xorbie,

why would you prefer to shove turn as opposed to the flop?

Re: 400 NL : big draw but....

I 3bet this alot.

You loose 1/2 your equity when you brick the turn, and he isn't always paying you off if you hit.

That siad, he gave you a great price to peel, so that can never really be faulted. He's unknown, so you're FE is also unknown.

wow, if u'r not 3 betting this hand, then what are u 3 betting??? (apart from super strong made hands)

I prefer a call here. Villian is a nit and i doubt he's folding to a 3bet giving us f all FE. I'd peel and shove most turns.

i like calling and shoving a lot of turns, and i'm always c-betting this flop without a doubt.

OK I was wondering what range do you put this villain on when he ch/r flop.

getting it in isnt about fe imo . id rather get it in now and not have to worry about any scare cards on the turn. and u say id peel and get it in on most turns, meaning blank ones when are equity drops significantly and we still have no fe??

Re: 400 NL : big draw but....

seriously, wtf guys.

I'd think that pushing flop >> call+c/r turn? IF we're both like 150bb's deep, I can understand that second line, but not in this situation.

Re: 400 NL : big draw but....

yeah I was wondering about that too what is with the turn shove, our equity is pretty low and if he bets turn he'll get great odds.

Re: 400 NL : big draw but....

i would definetely 3-bet/call the flop since u have so many outs (12 at least, maybe more) and quite some FE as well. Just because villain's a nit doesnt mean hes never (semi)bluffing. When do u want to get it in if not here?

Re: 400 NL : big draw but....

3betting the flop > calling and shoving the turn. what range of hands does villain have when he checkraises this flop and still leads the turn when you've shown you like your hand? any hand he feels is strong enough to do this, i doubt you'd have very much folding equity in a much bigger pot now and your actual pot equity is decreased as well.

im shoving the flop

Re: 400 NL : big draw but....

I don't get the call flop/shove turn -thing at all, IMHO just doesn't make any sense that it would be better than 3-betting the flop.

Yes, and I c-bet the flop 100% of the time and i also c-bet the next hand every time just to be sure i don't accidentally check here.

Re: 400 NL : big draw but....

Your opponent rarely has a big hand here so 3-betting the flop is never wrong. I am not folding the turn either so if you decide to call the flop, shove on his turnbet as long as the board does not pair .

im soo getting it in on the flop

Re: 400 NL : big draw but....

I cbet this flop 100% of time.

If I'm button and SB is real player, I'll repop flop as he'll have a lot of hands he can fold, and if I get called, I'm still fine.

Having raised from UTG and how tagfish will see this, combined with his aggression on flop, I'll just call here.
