Agreed, but I would bet a bit more on turn, say 450...

What he said....there's no way a bet will fold out a draw...and you could already be drawing dead.

Re: $4/180 shortstacked hand

I think you're entitled to bet the turn for value, as the only likely holdings you're behind are a flopped flush or 8-7. I guess that means that I would c/c a large river bet on this river, as Villain is representing a very narrow range of hands with a big bet (even a small flush would usually bet before the river) and he obviously could have missed his draw. It's tough, though. Actually I think I usually wimp out here.

This must be an enormous leak of mine if no one else is inclined to play it like I would

Re: $4/180 shortstacked hand

Re: $4/180 shortstacked hand

i like to bet that flop (500, not 300) if they're playing tight or heads up.
as played, check the turn.

Re: $4/180 shortstacked hand

Could someone explain why they like the c/f all streets line here... most posters seem in favor of it but no one's went into detail.

Re: $4/180 shortstacked hand

A9 is just a very weak hand to begin with and in such a multi way pot no reason to believe you are ahead with anything less than TP

Re: $4/180 shortstacked hand

Wouldn't a ten almost always bet the flop, though? No?

Anyone else want to chime in? (in other words, bump)

Re: $4/180 shortstacked hand

i would check call that flop with a good ten
top pair wise, i'd probably only lead with KsTx or AsTx into that many people

What about a push pre? No one has showed much strength, and theres a fair bit in the pot.

Re: $4/180 shortstacked hand

I am inclined to c/f all the way until the river here. OOP against 4 players is not fun. Save your chips for a better situation.

You are short-stacked, but not terribly so. You still have ~20BB.

Re: $4/180 shortstacked hand

3 limpers, 2 of which are short and a limped UTG. If either shorty had something, why wouldn't they be pushing, particularly MP2? Also, he said he is 40 out of 60 left. I hate A weak, but why aren't we raising to say 750-900? If I have to play A weak, I sure don't want to do it 4 handed. A push seems too much, but a healthy raise seems at least gives us the chance to take it down right there.
