I'd have made the flop raise slightly bigger, fired at turn and bet bigger on river.

We've got a set, I'm trying to get stacks in ASAP.

Turn check is bad. You need to size your bets in all 3 streets in such a way so that you can get your entire stack in play by the showdown. How else are you going to stack your opponent?

Can you explain why you didn't bet the turn?

What hand do you think he will pay me his stack with?

That's a reasonable question actually, given this is a limped pot. Really depends on the villian.

Re: Coments on this hand

thx for the replies, in hindsight i agree that i shouldīve reraised more on the flop

My reasoning in this hand is that i hit hard on the flop and reraise villan to see how strong he is. since he just called and in a limped hand i put him on a T. He would have raised PF with TT and come over the topp on my reraise with 33. I hope that he hit his two pair on the turn so when he bet on the river i would push and he will have to think his hand is good.
River gave me a scare but when he checks iīm pretty confident he has a naked T and made perhaps to smal value bett but i wanted a call.
Someone like the line?
May bee i could have commited his stack if i reraised it more on the turn and bet around 1/2 pot on turn but i still think he would have let it go on the turn if i showed streght

You flop a set in position on a safe looking board I would call on the the flop, raise the turn(if he reraises, shove)and assuming he checks to you, bet the river! if he bets out you might just want to call on the river.
But I think you are way ahead of anything he might be betting here so why take him out of the lead?

Re: Coments on this hand

Because itīs a good flop for a T and a PP will call this a lot too. Donīt like to call the flopp and then raise the turn. itīs more a limit type a play.
If this had been a raised pot i would take the line that most of the others that have made a response to this post have adviced. reraise/bet/bet.

I know that iīm ahead in the hand, the question is how much can i get from him. The river is bad ( IF he had the KT as i hoped on the turn) so naturly iīm just going to call if he bets. if Q,J,9 etc would have fallen i would push and he would call with his 2pair (my thought and reads). If i had taken your line, witch hands do you see him reraising me with on the turn?

Re: Coments on this hand

Well if villain's a decent standard player the only real hand I'm worried about is 33 and possibly TT. KT is a real stretch from EP for good player. So my range after the flop action is mostly pocket pairs (33,77-JJ), maybe some suited connectors like 9T,JT,45(45 is not very likely imo) and maybe a hand like AT.

Given the weak/tight nature postflop at NL25 the only hands that a decent player might have that might go to the felt would be 33,TT, and maybe JJ. So most of the hands in my range just aren't going to get you a stack. So I think bet sizing becomes more a issue of how much value can we get out of villain rather than let's get it all in we have a set.

So the K hits the turn and this card I think really sucks for our villain if he had a top pair hand on the flop or makes no difference to him if he's drawing or has us beat. A bet here will likely fold out many Tx hands. Checking I think is the best play here in order to get value out of the hands we beat.

The K falling on the river, beside an A,J, or 9 is one of the best cards for us. Why, because now villain discounts the fact that we actually have a king, if he only knew, and I don't think this improved his hand especially when he checks to you again. Plus, now I think we can bet and those Tx hands will be more likely to call.

Re: Coments on this hand

I would have raised a little more on flop (not many draws but still wouldn't want a lot of players in so wouldn't have just called). When he calls your raise, he could be thinking you have a T with a decent kicker or 23 (not sure what your image is), so I could see him with AT or maybe KT here.

I would bet again on turn hoping he either thought he had you out-kicked or higher 2 pair. Again here it depends what he thinks of you.
