Gazeebo hand (warning, made hand!); 50NL

Villain is loose semi-stack. This is just a bet sizing question. Am I better off doing this, or going for a value raise?

against bad opponents I like shoving in these spots. If they call a decent raise they are probably calling allin

i opt for a value raise.... if i am villain i fold my 6 here.

I feel like shoving basically folds out everything except chops (or the rare 66 or J7) If he's that bad if we value raise who knows he may look us up with A high.

i don't like this, just make it 7 or something.

Pushing folds anything besides something that beats you or chops.

A value raise here gets calls from a 6, middle pocket pair, or even A-high.

You guys think a loose semi-stack is folding a 6 here?

If the river didn't make a flush I'd hate it. I think a loose player is calling sometimes if he can beat a flush.

Re: Gazeebo hand (warning, made hand!); 50NL

If he'd bet out 5 or 6 I'd like it better. This small bet seems like either a weak attempt at bluffing the flush card (which which case, he'll probably fold to any raise) or a weak lead trying to incite a raising war. Either way, I think value-raising will be more effective. If he's got nothing, he'll fold to either, but if he's weak-leading, we can let him hang himself, whereas a shove might scare him off.

Geez, how many gazeebos do you shemales need?

This is a straight math question, right?

Say he calls a raise to $6 70% of the time, and calls the all in 20% of the time. Say in both cases you lose 1% of the time and chop 5% of the time.

LOL. Math is so rigged: with those assumptions, the EV of both is EXACTLY THE SAME. $3.84.

So, that's the tipping point: If you think he calls the $6 more than 70% or the a/i more than 20%, there's your decision.

I might shove If I had done some mcvalue shoving on this table before.

I think 7 gets your paid by alot more in general than a shove though...

A gazeebo hand is like a zeebo hand (see: zeebo theorem*), except loose guy tanks then calls down with TT. TT looks kinda like a gazeebo, too.

* no one ever folds a full house, so you shove with the big house to get maximum value from the little house.

meh. raise to like 8. Shoving misses value. His river bet is weak and I dont think hes calling a lot, much less a shove.
