This combined with the 19% thing. Probably some bizzare 2 pair. Gross.

Re: Puke

unknown villain and a very weird line, I think i make a crying call here and hope he is doing something weird more than 1 in 5 times. Looking at his line, I dont c what he could have and most normal players always raise turn with a strong hand (and they should) so it seems hes probably strange and I think the odds hes doing something strange r greater than 19% but still pretty gross.

Before I called (ldo), It's gotta be As3s, super-slow played set, or random donk whatever hand.

Puke is right. I don't think you're ever really good here...but I'm a station and can't really put him on a hand either. If he checked a set 3 times, he deserves my money.

sick odds and all, unknown villains dont turn up with < 2pair here often and all.

this board is pretty dry, I can see villain slowplaying a set here.

I've seen villains do this with AT or similar hands. But I doubt it's > 19% in this case.

Fold and I've learnt my lesson the hard way about river c/shoves from unknowns.

Agreed. I'd really think about the bet sizing here because he's either going to have something weak (and we want to keep him in), or have us crushed (and we lose less). Less on turn, less on river, then it's an easy fold to a raise.

by the turn the board is not very dry and most villains will raise sets there id say instead of going into the river oop with a lot of possible ugly cards and no idea where ur at.

Huh. Nice to see everybody giving their reasoning.

Read the post's title. Think a bit about what it means when you get yourself in that spot.

Or not, what do I care.

70% of pot gets looked up at the same rate as 55-60% of pot, meaning it has a higher EV.

bet sizing is good, your reasoning isn't.

The fact that it's 4 handed and you have the btn makes it closer to a call... but not enough. foldaroo

you're like never good here but I don't hink I can fold an overpair getting 4 to 1....

Fold. Betsizing is standard. We'll get called down by Tx alot and I don't think betting slightly less will not have much impact on villain's calling frequency with PPs.

hmmm does villain ever have two pair here? what are we doing with T8 or 22 in this spot? if we ever consider folding those hands, isn't villain's line highly profitable with ATC? i realize he's not thinking that way in all likelihood but still...

no, sorry. cc BB vs. btn open, c/c 2 streets just so you can c/r the river is def not profitable w/ ATC.

fold, then go on crazy monkey tilt a couple rounds later when you realize villain is 90/50/8.

only read half of this, but

pineapple really is tremendously douchey for someone who is absolutely below avg in every form of poker

and yes, slam your fist on the table and fold. but slam like rly hard cuz you want him to know how much it sucks that yr folding

It's not necessarily about people being that passive so much as it is really [censored] hard to find a hand that he could be bluffing with here. For me anyway.
