400nl middle set vs. NIT

villain is victory68...he's interesting. i think his stats are literally 18/1, i've played with him for a few hundred hands. he probably has a little bit of a clue what's going on postflop, not a complete nutpeddler as his vpip shows.

i'm thinking he could be bluffing but it's not likely.

Shove.

he can have AA/KK/AQ/66/22 or whatever.

he might sohw up with a flush every so often, but whatever, get all the monies in now so there arent any scare cards for the hands you beat.

Re: 400nl middle set vs. NIT

get it in like sin
given his pf stats there are not too many combos of hearts in his range to be calling pf from the bb

i think hes going for value with a worse hand alot of the time

Meh, I just don't see AA/KK/AQ played this way.

Don't get me wrong, I'm never folding this, which means I'm always shoving. I just don't feel great about it.

normally id agree but if he is only raising 1% its to get tricky post flop-of course tat is only over like 62 hand but still...

I would shove here pretty quickly, given his stats it's very possible he doesn't 3bet preflop with big pairs, and he could also be slowplaying a set here and raises. Flush combos should be pretty low here, although he will definitely show up with a flush here a decent amount. We've still got like 22% equity or something against a flush, and he will show up with enough worse hands / draws to make getting it in good here.

lol victory68. he was on party for the longest time, i know him well. there is pretty low chance he even has like a nine high flush, he has the nuts here nearly always... just call and fold the river unimproved :P

Re: 400nl middle set vs. NIT

We will be getting about 3 to 1 on the river to his push, so if you can fold the river call the turn, but otherwise its either shove or fold.

I prob shove cuz we have a set.

ok...i didn't have a real read on his postflop play until now, maybe because he doesn't usually go far.

i called, river paired the board and i shoved. he called with 7h4h =/
