Gus \"higher levels of thinking\"
I don't understand how Daniel N and other players say Gus is a brilliant mind, making complex mathematical decisions in his poker. This sh!t just don't seem right.

Re: Gus \"higher levels of thinking\"
On 'higher levels of thinking'. Let's imagine for a moment Gus really was just a high stakes fish, slowly spewing away his millions from donkament wins in the cash games. Would we expect Daniel N and others to then refer to him as some random donator, or as a brilliant mind capable of making tough decisions that really seem counterintuitive at a superficial glance.

Re: Gus \"higher levels of thinking\"
True. But they could remain silent, as opposed to spew bullsh!t about how he's a deep, mathematical thinker. I think he's just a degen that has access to mass cash.

Re: Gus \"higher levels of thinking\"
Gus is a gigolo. He makes millions per year sleeping with wealthy older women and donks some of it off at the poker tables.
|
Re: Gus \"higher levels of thinking\"

Re: Gus \"higher levels of thinking\"
THIS POST IS MAKING MY BRAIN HURT.
let me explain... this is simple... in omaha u dont fold ur cards on the flop for a less than pot size bet. it doesn't have anything to do with math or being a good player or anythiugn like that. |

Re: Gus \"higher levels of thinking\"
Correct, Gus Hansen was the first loose aggressive tournament player. Stu Ungar learned a lot from him.

Re: Gus \"higher levels of thinking\"
Gus is an Omaha fish.
He doesn`t understand the game and his short stack play is laughable. In a nutshell, he plays NLHE tournament at the PLO cash tables. Too funny. |
Re: Gus \"higher levels of thinking\"
tons more people played laggy after his tv appearances is what i meant.. obv there always were a few laggy players, but most people played a lot tighter than they do today.he obv sucks at playing cash
