Borgata session...my stack looks way wrong for a 1/2 table
More of an online donkament player but last night I played live 1/2 NL at the Borgata for a 20 hours session...bought in for $300 max buy in and cashed out for $2,500...even the dealers and floor were joking about how my stack looked more appropriate for a 5/10 NL game than a 1/2...wanted to get up and leave for 2/5 NL but bad players at my table kept giving me money...some days I like poker

Re: Borgata session...my stack looks way wrong for a 1/2 table
I saw a guy at Turning Stone like 2 years ago and he was there for around 18 hours and cashed out $2300 at a $100 max table. I even took a picture of the guy with my cell phone cause his chip stack was almost up to his head before he started putting it in racks. If I find the picture I'll post it.

Re: Borgata session...my stack looks way wrong for a 1/2 table
Once I saw a dealer 'accidentally' knock over a players mountain of 5's he had like 350--4k. It was perfect I turned around to see what was up next to me and the dealer winks at me and slams her hand into this guys mountain as shes dealing.

Re: Borgata session...my stack looks way wrong for a 1/2 table
That's awesome. I did just about the same thing at MGM Grand about a year and half ago. Same game. The only difference is I was in for two buy-ins and cashed out with $2500. Also, they had some silly rule about no green or black chips. Therefore, it was all in reds. Ridiculous.

Re: Borgata session...my stack looks way wrong for a 1/2 table
not to be an [censored] but this is fairly easy to do on the east coast...there is really no reason to ever get up from the table the players are so bad...still sick run tho congrats

Re: Borgata session...my stack looks way wrong for a 1/2 table
Yesterday at Fallsview in Niagara Falls, was waiting for 5/5 500max table, got on 2/5 200max table first. First hand post on CO, A9 > KQ on AAKA board. 15 minutes later I have $600 and they call me for my table change. I look around and realize the majority of my table is completely clueless and a few have $600+. I decide to stay.
5 hours later I leave with a $1950 stack. Even funnier: at one point i raised to $30 3 hands in a row from the BU, CO, and CO+1, all 3 times I got 8 callers. Dealer was having the hardest time not laughing as half the people are sitting with a 1/3rd pot size bet left and check/folding the flop. |

this exercise is no fun without pictures http://www.handsfreepoker.com/bigstack.jpg my friend at borgata 2/5 started with $500 i think he cashed out with $4500 or something...such a gamblooor |
Re: Borgata session...my stack looks way wrong for a 1/2 table
no pics but had 3 stacks green...bunch of red stacks...a coupla blacks and some yellows ($20) and whites...best part was since I never got involved with a big pot unless I was winning it took a late sukout for me to give up a single non red/white chip...flopped 3 aces with a better kicker and a loose player caught me on the turn with his boat taking single green and he did a little dance saying the table was finally getting a piece of my mountain...lol

Re: Borgata session...my stack looks way wrong for a 1/2 table
In Response to Shaun Deeb....I am pretty sure I was there for this... If I remember correctly you were sitting in the 10/9 MAYBE 8 seat, but def. that side of the table... if you look at the front desk in the old room where Don always stood i think it was all the way to the left, a couple tables down... It was pretty funny seeing everyone sit down with 100 and just give there chips away. I have a brief recollection of you getting your start by winning an 800ish pot with 1010. I sat down at the table to have my go, but I just sat back and picked off the other idiots racked 1k, and left... i think you had a pumpkin there too... man how times have changed

lol, don't you guys know how to chip up, when I got over a few buyins up I usually ask for larger denominations. The whole gigantic stack thing is over-rated.
