Why would you check the turn?

Re: NL100:KK OOP 200bbs deep

Checking this turn is so bad.

Well I was trying not to play a huge pot oop with kk on this board here, I'm assuming you think b/f turn is better? Do you think hes less likely to bluff a turn bet?

i would bet alot of money that the "good reg" is terrible

bet turn regardless

he has 78 on the river

Re: NL100:KK OOP 200bbs deep

There's no reason to think he would bluff raise over a turn bet with the info you posted, so yes, b/f is much better.

If you are really scared of a turn raise after betting the flop, consider checking the flop and betting the turn if he checks behind.

So if I bet turn and am called, is river a c/f to any diamond 7 4?

Re: NL100:KK OOP 200bbs deep

I'd probably b/f any river as well.

But the flip side is that you give a free card on a draw-heavy board when you likely have the best hand. If you bet close to pot on the turn, a "good, thinking player" will understand that he doesn't have correct odds to chase his draw and fold.

As played, fold the river - this is 78 like 90% of the time.

i don't understnad why the turn was checked. if your gonna lead out the river when one of the draw cards hit then why not bet and put pressure on him and make him deicde fold or all in before the draw hits?

I think I like a bet fold on the river sometimes. You are going to get called by a queen. You will also get bluffed occasionally if you check.
