NL200: I don\'t know how to play OOP in 3-bet pot.

Villain is 22/17/5

I 3-bet faily wide. nothing too crazy tho. I've been playing 17/13 at this table, but am 21/17+ usually.

I never know what to do in these spots. Check-fold? if i check and he checks behind, lead turn? check-raise? c-bet big? c-bet 1/2 pot? 2/3? so lost.

I like it. I'd probably bet a couple of dollars more on the flop but whatever, the board is really dry.

Re: NL200: I don\'t know how to play OOP in 3-bet pot.

yeah this seems fine and pretty standard. i would prefer to to reraise a bit more preflop since we are out of position and as nick said id like betting a bit more on the flop, but otherwise this is good.

grunch

looks standard to me
if villian floats flop and bets turn in these spots too often, i like a crai on the turn

Nobody like a check on the flop?

Re: NL200: I don\'t know how to play OOP in 3-bet pot.

i generally like to cbet Q high dry flops in reraised pots, but if i am checking, i am checking to give up unless i hit an ace or jack.

standard, you can check if you want and float after but its a risky play

c/c is bad here, board is dry, so i really prefer a cbet and shutdown if called

Re: NL200: I don\'t know how to play OOP in 3-bet pot.

I would bet more preflop. you are oop , so i make it about 25-28.

on flop, I often had the same problem

Re: NL200: I don\'t know how to play OOP in 3-bet pot.

Don't we have higher fold equity against his 88-JJ if we bet the flop stronger? I guess we all would bet like $40 if we had AA/KK. I know the flop is so dry but still...

I wouldn't, there's no reason to.

I'd raise preflop a little bit more to $25 or so. Everything else I'd play the same.

OP nailed it before he started. Mixing it up from blinds with quirky min-raises pf allows for c/r for same price on flop. In addition the lead out bet on flop is cheaper, looks weaker and can mix up button when the flop hits you. As played fine.
