Cause most donkbets are either draws, or small pairs that look if they are good. Charge the draw and valuetown the mid pair?

i usually call once, maybe 2x depending on turn bet size

well im either re-raising flop / folding turn to big bet.

or im calling his flop bet, and calling him down on a raggy turn/river.. just gotta go with your reads/instincts

Typically when people donkbet with a flush draw, if you raise they will not bet out the turn after calling the flop. That said i think folding on the turn is fine thinking that if he is donkbetting you will get his money eventually. I am not in favor of the raise on the flop just because most bad players will call with the draw or the queen so you accomplish nothing. So either raise bigger on flop and if he takes same line fold turn cause he has weak Q.

This brings up a interesting play i have seen made before. Fish donkbets out really small into the raiser with set on a board of H-H-x, gets raised and calls. On turn the fish donkbets out again and gets put all-in or raised big. I dont think this is what happened to you, but i have seen the play before.

Yeah, I prefer a raise here if villain min bets or something. Then his range is weighted heavily towards draws and these guys never min bet/3 bet draws, they always call. When villain makes a real bet there is a decent chance that he is b/3b with a draw.

you charge him for hsi draw, that is what you accomplish. Bu I agree there is a difference between a smallish donkbet and donkbet the size of my cbet.

Turn fold is fine. Villian doesn't like 3betting here because it scares you out of the pot. Instead he donks his set or TPTK on the turn.

Btw vs a 17/10 i dont like 3betting the flop. You have a smallish FE and the pot is growing way to big on turn with a marginal holding. I'll go with the flop float en probably take a stab at it at the turn when he checks or i fold due a 2nd barrel.
But vs a 58/17/2 i raise flop all day.
