very true. some of the worst shows i've been to have been modest mouse shows. although once they were really great, but that was 1 out of 4.

i used to really like these guys, but they got old fast, when most their albums started sounding the same to me.

I think I'm going to see them when they come to town... but really just to see the opening act - Man Man. I'd probably stick around for a bit to see MM, though.

Like others have said, they are supposed to be terrible live. 3 friends of mine have told me this independently.

That said, I've started to like their new CD a lot more lately. Took me a long time, but I'm coming around.

i saw em on i think the moon and antarctica tour, they were decent live. i guess with someone as unstable as isaac brock theres gonna be some variance there. johnny marr will be worth the cost alone

A girl that i was dating slept with brock in 96 when they came thru wisconsin. also there are rumors that he raped a girl once. Despite both of those their music is the worst kind of pretentious overhyped crap. They're like the steve miller of indie rock.
