Bottom FH vs CS
Villain was 38/17/1 over 100 and appeared like a CS. I made some cbets here and there, but i doubt he recognized it.

Re: Bottom FH vs CS
I guess I can fold this. Also I dislike the turn bet.
|
Re: Bottom FH vs CS
i would probably call, i think you see a queen a lot though. It will be a pp a lot though too and it looks kinda like a blocker so I couldn't fold. i'm also not so sure about the turn bet, I don't really like it but I guess it's not terrible. If he checked river I would bet as played btw.

Re: Bottom FH vs CS
Well he could be a huge sucker, anything else than calling seems out of question but I would check the turn for sure most of the time. Makes the hand a lot easier to play and you induce a lot more calls on the river than on the turn against most Callingstations. On the other hand there is a difference between stations so firing the the turn for value is not that bad imho, maybe against some stations even superior.

Re: Bottom FH vs CS
Well I'm guessing he wouldn't be asking whether he should have value bet if he got shown a Q.
Also, I'm pretty sure that at 10/20 even calling stations are aware of the concept of a continuation bet. WTF else do they tell themselves when they press the call button? |
Re: Bottom FH vs CS
folding here sucks
|
Re: Bottom FH vs CS
Half potsize, could be a weird fish blocking bet with Ace high, pair bigger than 6's or even a 6 himself. I don't think folding is good against this type of a player.

[/ QUOTE ] other possibilities: 1) "i have AK high. if he doesn't have a pair, my hand is probably good!" 2) "i might make a pair on the turn" 3) "i might make a draw on the turn that i can hit on the river" 4) "mmm...peanut butter" |
Re: Bottom FH vs CS
this seems like he shows you a Q pretty often here
|
Re: Bottom FH vs CS
Fold unless you think he bluff called the turn to bluff lead the river...Doesn´t seem like the type of play a callstation would make to me..
|
Re: Bottom FH vs CS
I would def. check the turn and have called a riv bet., as played, I dont like his bet strat-wise, casue you are betting that six if he had checked, and may have bluffed had you had nothing. anyway, as played I think its okay either way, I would lean towards a call and hope for 88 or something like that.

Re: Bottom FH vs CS
it could be a tell that he bet 660.
|
Re: Bottom FH vs CS
easy fold, also i can't believe you bet the turn
|
Re: Bottom FH vs CS
Hes a calling station and i wanted max value
|
Re: Bottom FH vs CS
bet turn.
call river. |
Re: Bottom FH vs CS
It's a calling station so of course you have to take him to value town, nothing wrong with the turn IMO. Checking is also a valid line depending on dynamics (e.g. he peels the flop light and will try to take the pot away when you check the turn, etc.)
And these types of players do all kinds of weird illogical stuff so you really can't fold. If you knew he was the type to make "brave" river calls then you could perhaps even make a case for smallraise/fold. |
