Is there any value in shoving?

Re: Should i shove on of the 2?

the guy cold called a raise and a re-raise, AA is the only hand that beats us in the second one.

edit : small RR nvm

i agree just call in hand 2.

crabby,

if we were CO in hand 1, would that change your opinion at all -- i mean we do have the niggity nuts after all.

Calling2 is too weak imo. There`s one combo that beats us and tons of hands we are ahead of.

Re: Should i shove on of the 2?

Hand 1:

Without any history; I'd fold flop.

Hand 2:

Raise turn, now call.

H1: Sry obviously we play against each other a lot and he knows i am aggro and cbetting often. Nothing special this session.

mmm isnt recall a descent player?

anyway i think these hands are pretty straight forward, 1. fold 2. call

Re: Should i shove on of the 2?

hand 1: I think folding is wayyyy too nitty. Call CRAI if he has high turn aggro or 3 bet if he doesnt cbet turn often.
hand 2: raise min and fold to a reraise?

id consider raising in number one. quite a few hands he can have to be raising you to get a free card or just testing. if you dont think he would have a club draw at all then make a case for folding.

2nd one, play it depending on what you think he thinks about you.
if he thinks you might bluff raise.

if you are a nut player call

if he his extra tight call.

it looks like he is betting for value and looking for a call.

Re: Should i shove on of the 2?

H1: I definitely think a fold is way too nitty. If you're the type to frequently cbet, I think that a call on the flop and a re-evaluation on the turn is pretty standard. It's a weird spot against Empire, but he is certainly far from a nut-peddler. I would be pretty comfortable getting it in on the turn if the board pairs (no club) and otherwise, it would pretty session-dependent on what to do if he pots it on a blank.

H2: no value in a raise... I mean, what hand are you realistically calling a 3bet with preflop, smooth-calling the turn and raising the river with? IMO, anything that calls beats you here. Only reason to push here would be if you think you may be splitting, but that's pretty read dependent.

Re: Should i shove on of the 2?

i cant see folding hand 1 with 100 BB effective. the stack sizes are a little awkward though b/c i dont like a shove very much but i also dont like raising to < $1400. granted i've never played against this opponent (or maybe i have a long time ago) but w/ this board i think laying down TPTK here is a mistake.

hand 2 i raise the turn, as played i probably just call the river unless i think he's a station in which case i probably pause for a long time then shove, which is < a 3-bet in this isntance.

I reviewed H1 and i2 things are wondering me right now.
1. I don`t get why i posted it
2. I don`t get most of your answers.

-2. He is representing exactly 2 hands beating me from which one hand isn`t that likely 33 (KJ), but he can have lots of semi bluffs here, like pair+ draw or just draws.

Why is it such a clear fold? I can`t continue here ever if i don`t continue AK ( ok KJ/KK/33/JJ) but that`s all.
