5-10 HU - 2 pair but the heat is on

Villain is Im2Fast. Don't think i've ever played him HU but his HU stats are 57/53/2.9. The match has just started and we've both been in line - but I know that he's not the tightest player in the world and is capable of getting WAY out of line.

trivially easy push?

Eh? You're not contemplating a fold, are you? I'd just shove, probably. Calling down is fine as well. Folding has to be pretty bad given one hand beats us and he appears more than capable of bluffing here or even value stacking himself with KJ.

i think the decision between whether calling or shoving is better is pretty tough.

i think i usually call / call.

but looking at the stack sizes, i think it's better just to shove here.

although him raising 40 -> $200 doesn't make me too happy. he has Q10 here, but not enough to fold

i think shoving turn is > calling turn, although i don't mind calling turn and hoping he shoves river. i can't imagine this is ever a fold to be honest. if you're beat here, it's a cooler, and you move on, but never ever fold.

ugh I feel like this is a straight soooooo much....

Hard to get away when that's the only hand you're worried about though.

I think I prefer calling down, I just don't see him calling a shove with anything worse, given your dynamic, and at most he has a 7 outer with AQ, much more often 4 or less.

Heh. Its amazing how spot on Big Jim's posts are. Although the first few posts indicated this was a "trivally" easy push (I did push, LDO) - on this board I'm not sure if pushing is actually the best play. It lets his bluffs or weak aces or whatever off the hook. Cuz really what worse hands is he gonna call with?

Anyway, I shoved and villain turbo called w/ Q-T.

Meh, I feel like this used to always be a straight but now you'll actually see other stuff.

Is he really going to bluff like 500 into 1k on the river? I guess it depends on what he thinks of you, and whether you peel again with KQ/KT/Ax. I think most players would expect you to fold those on turn, but will give you credit when you call turn. But folding river just seems so sick, and being incorrect costs a ton so I would just jam it if I thought I was good, or fold.

I thought we weren't allowed to put people on hands when we have 2 pair.

I never understand this logic. If we shove and HE FOLDS that is a good thing. If he only calls with better hands then he isn't going to be calling very often.

If you were deeper I'd say calling down is an option but come on you're like so pot commited if you call the turn you'll have to a call a river bet so you're just asking to get bluffed off a Q or T river or something. And if he has a worse hand like KJ he may check it back and you lose loads of value for not shoving.

Yeah, but not as good as when he shoves the river with the worst hand.

The only river card that scares me is a K.

And how do you figure he will get a chance to "check it back?"

my bad i thought he was oop the whole hand for some reason. but i'd still shove turn. r u just calling on the flop to induce an extra bet? if so i dont see how u dont shove the turn when he makes that bet.

i dont think he ever bluffs this river if we just call. id shove and hope he feels committed with whatever he has.

AQ has 10 outs. 3 k's, 3 q's, 4 t's. he's probably 3betting AQ preflop anyway though.
