meh, I like your line till you push. What are you beating? I'd give him a credit for JJ+ and let it go when c/r'ed

Ah ok, with those stacks I guess you are getting good odds, but again what are we beating? SB's line is so strong, you've got to be behind here a lot. 10's are little bit weak here for me to get it in.

i think this is fine. i don't know what a Cbet of 8% means (whether it is alot or not) but button v blinds with an overpair, with great odds.

you could check behind for pot control, that's the only other option.

even tight players can pull weird moves in pots like this, so i think you have enough equity here

I think this is pretty bad. Likewise i don't know if 8% is high or not, but unless he's really aggro in these spots, you really don't beat a lot.

Re: Never fold overpairs in 3bet pots, right? No?

did you ask yourself:

am i calling his 3bet in order to stack off on a favorable board, or to set mine etc?

plan out how you are going to play the hand on different boards and with different actions from the villain. doing this makes it alot easier to play the hand postflop

a c/r is becoming more common now as the tried and tested Cbet is a bit cliched, so it isn't always a monster here

SA/WB on flop

i checkstick normally.

as played, this is a bluffy line, but I'd have to have a read that he normally bets out with overpairs here and is capable of bluffing with AK (a lot of people like this move)

fwiw the "normal" 3bet% with TAGs in my games is 2-5%. 8% is one of the highest among TAGs ive seen over a decent sample size.

You aren't "SA" against 6 outs with two cards to come, you're 3:1 favorite. Anyway, agree with everything else ike said. Bet/folding this flop sucks cause people can take weird lines in RR pots. I expect to see overs a bunch when I call and there's a lot of dead money.

I'm not fist pumping, but I don't really see a better way to play it.

Also, FWIW, 3b 8% happens to be right around where several tough, aggro, winning players are in my database. 8 - 9 seems to be a pretty good range, however, I see a lot of threetards upwards of 15%!!!

lol threetards.

if 8% is high, then i have to stack off here every time

If 8% is a pretty light 3 bettor, then this is an auto 4 bet no?

i think his range is more heavily weighted toward ak so i like it

I'd shove pretty fast preflop, since I'm on the button this type of player's gonna be 3-betting real light, and stacks are less than full.
