TP2K shorty makes [censored] awkward
UTG is 22/17/3.4 mostly datamined hands so I don't have an opinion on his play, but I'm pretty sure he's a multi-tabling reg. Haven't been at the table long so I haven't been out of line or anything.
Could have raised PF to iso shorty but UTG raise plus shorty smooth call in EP pushed me towards just calling. Maybe bad decision not sure. Re: TP2K shorty makes [censored] awkward
I raise preflop approx. 100%, it squeezes UTG, I'm happy to get it in with shorty, happy to give up if UTG doesn't fold.
As played, I call and hope to check it down, just cause that's how I roll. No idea if it's right or not. [img]/images/graemlins/tongue.gif[/img] |
Re: TP2K shorty makes [censored] awkward
Id call and fold to an utg shove

Re: TP2K shorty makes [censored] awkward
is utg allowed to reraise? if he cant that makes this a super easy call, whereas it's normally just a standardly easy call. i too would fold to any further aggression from him on the turn, perhaps calling a smallish river bet.

is utg allowed to reraise? [/ QUOTE ] no, he's not. 33.55 < 34. given that I'd call. Your hand is now protected and a bunch of his flop donking range is combo draws that will just get checked down unless he hits them. |
Re: TP2K shorty makes [censored] awkward
PF seems weird, whatever. I call the flop.

Re: TP2K shorty makes [censored] awkward
Ok guys, I called flop. So maybe this is super standard, I don't know. After playing this hand I thought that folding the flop might be the correct play having not raised PF. Simply because UTG lead into 2 players OOP on flop which I don't think he does without an ace and probably not with one I beat, but maybe.

Re: TP2K shorty makes [censored] awkward
I call flop and call 82 river bet here.

Re: TP2K shorty makes [censored] awkward
this is a good squeeze spot preflop, as you are never bluffing because of the shortstack, plus you have just arrived at the table, so will get a bit more respect.
i would bet the turn as he has checked, and there are draws out which he could have occasionally. i think he is betting this turn with AK or better if he has it because of the draws. as played, i would call the river bet what did he have........? |

I think he is allowed to reraise, cause shorty raises more than half of UTGs bet. [/ QUOTE ] That's a limit poker rule, the correct rule for NL is that it has to be a full raise to re-open action (read B&M forum enough and you'll learn the rules of poker pretty solidly [img]/images/graemlins/smile.gif[/img]). That said, some rooms incorrectly implement the half-raise rule. I don't know offhand if FTP is one of them. |
