The Vet charged $800 to do this to me. Pics.

Hello, my name is Benjamin, the West-Highland Terrier. The leader of my pack is Howard (not his real name) Beale followed by his mother who shall remain nameless because it's her fault that I'm like this now. What happened? I'll tell you what happened! Mommy brought me to the vet to have my teeth cleaned, that's all. While I was there she mentioned that I had a few warts. So what? I'm 12 and a half years old and I'm entitled to a few warts. The real problem is that mommy has both Munchausen Syndrome AND Munchausen Syndrome by Proxy and any excuse for a medical procedure is good enough for her especially since I had to be sedated for the teeth cleaning anyway. It serves her right that when she came to pick me up the bill turned out to be $800 because of the blood tests and everything else she didn't ask about in her frenzy to have me cut up but even this isn't punishment enough for her. I have REFUSED 'to go' when Daddy brought me outside. That is why there are extra blankets on the bed but I know what I'm going to do! I think I'll need 'to go' at something like 3:00am that's when I'll need 'to go' and one of them is going to have to take me outside.

I really don't like to complain because I realize that I get better medical care than 80% of the world's human population but, come on, this was unnecessary and to add insult to injury mommy put duct tape around my head-guard (very popular stuff around my house that duct tape is) so that it wouldn't scratch her legs.

Here are my pics. In lieu of flowers or get-well cards I ask that you make donations to either the Humane Society or the SPCA. Thank you.

If you took proper care of your dog it wouldn't need to be taken to the vet for teeth cleanings. Hope that doesn't sound to harsh but it isn't that hard to maintain good dental health in dogs.

hope the wart removal thing went well. My dog just had similar sugery to remove a number of non-cancerous bumps that were opening up and causing problems, and has to wear the same head mask thing for awhile. hope the recovery goes well.

I wish, I wish, oh how I wish it were a bong!!! Howard (er, ok, Noah, I won't say it.......takes the Merry right out of Christmas) told me once that when he was in college 80 years ago he and his roommates would blow pot smoke into the cat's face and the cat would always come when they were smoking which was always anyway but he's given it up because he's old now and also lives in Arizona where they throw you in jail forever if you get caught with any. So, it's just a lamp. It does have a nice, new shade though.

When a dog has surgery, they do that to keep him from biting at the wound/stiches.

I once had a GF with a cat that had to wear one of those cone collar things because it had some sort of growth cut off its back. She also had a laser pointer. It was hilarious running that cone-collared cat up the walls chasing after the laser dot.

you could try taking the collar off when the dog needs "TO GO."

$800 isn't that much when you consider what's required to safely conduct general anesthethia. But yeah, the minor lump removals were probably unneccessary.

Whoever said that maintaining proper dental health for your dog isn't that hard generalizes too much. Not all dogs are the same.

Sorry didn't mean to offend or anything just got a bit caught up reading it.

I am pretty sure this should say "followed by my mother" assuming your mother and wife are both not involved in this.

we'd put our cat under the clothes basket and blow smoke in through the holes. no, it didn't hurt anything, but the cat was one of the best jumpers I've ever seen.

Anyway, sorry about your dog Howard, and the bill.

Those cone things are funny as hell on your pet. We had an Australian Shepherd who needed one and he kept bumping into things and watching him try to eat was hilarious. I feel sorry for them, but it's still funny.
