Tony Bigcharles: The Documentary (WITH CLIFFNOTES)

Now this may sound pretty ridiculous.

I am a member of a staking website, the largest one on the internet. I won't name it because I am not here to advertise the site.

Anyways, there is a member of this site. He is an autistic Social Security receiving 30 something year old. He has an autistic kid who his mother primarily takes care of. His name is TONY BIGCHARLES (YES, FOR REAL).

In a Pokerstars 20k freeroll once, he folded QQ with 3 big blinds on the bubble and called it a good play.

Earlier in the year, he took a poker trip. He traveled for (by taking busses and trains, etc as he has no car). His starting bankroll was $1,800 as he had just received backpay from Social Security.

He is a comedic genius in terms of the stuff he says, but he has no idea he is being funny. His story is a sad but important one on the addiction of gambling.

His high point bankroll wise was $5,500 but he ended the trip broke. He did many things to save money, including sleeping in a stall of a bathroom and on a public park bench. He also paid to use various internet cafes so he could check his e-mails. At one point he sent $200ish to a woman claiming she would use the money to meet him.

Anyways, my idea is to follow this man, Tony Bigcharles, on his next poker trip around December 2007. I am looking to find someone who would be interested in marketing this documentary. I am looking to find a way to cover expenses (equipment) and to compensate Mr. Bigcharles FOLLOWING the wrap-up of his trip, as compensating him beforehand would taint the journey and make it not as real as the first time.

Here are some excerpts from his first trip, just so you can get an idea on how genius this is:

[wuote]the guy who was taking me to tulsa canceled out on me, but i called a cab and for $80 they are taking me to the greyhound bus in salina 60 miles away, and then its $38.50 to kansas city, will play there a day or 2 or 3, and then go on into st louis in another day or two, and then to evansville. now are they any neverbeg members who play live in the KCMO area, the st louis area, or the evansville IN area? would like to meet them at the casino and say hi if so. i will be having about a $1800 bankroll after paying the cab and bus.

[/ QUOTE ]

[wuote]i still aint got anywhere to stay and not sure if im heading towards evansville or north into chicago and then east to NY so i wont have to mess with buses intstead of trains. its $7 for 20 min to uses this internet cafe. and thats why i aint logged into neverbeg, and is also why i aint played online the last few days. got my $2100 i left town with back to $2100 from $1300, all the money i lost playing video poker, im wining back in the easy NL games in the casinos. would like to hear from some neverbeg members in the area, look for me on the president casino in st louis tonite if im still in this area.

[/ QUOTE ]

[ QUOTE ]
winning at live $1-2 NL games in the casinons is so much easier than winning online.[/QUOTE]

[ QUOTE ]
was asleep all day in the st louis city park with $2100 in my sock, cause i didnt wanna pay $59 for a motel room, and now i woke up went back to this $6 internet cafe for 20 minutes, and im heading back over to the president casino to pllay $1-2 NL now. anyone in st louis feel free to come over to the president casino. and page tony bigcharles in the poker room.

[/ QUOTE ]

[ QUOTE ]
am now at the st louis public library for the first time. yahoo messenger of course dont work here. and im back down to only $1900 again. good news is i found me a room for $175 a week next to the fairview heights metrolink. anyone here in the st louis area come say hi, ill be in the president casino poker room every nite in the $1-2 nl holdem. u can have me paged there in the poker room.

the BJ game here can be beat easily too.

[/ QUOTE ]

[ QUOTE ]
before i left st louis, the president has a rule that ANYTHING VERBAL u say is BINDING, (even if ur claiming ur joking around.) a guy told me whatever i was gonna bet he was gonna call me before the action was on him. i bet all in and he didnt wanna call (a little over $100) and the floor man LEROY made him call. leroys a good floorman its the best reason to play on that boat. tell him i said so next time u see him.

question to u guys, is how many of u guys benifitted or lost chips due to that rule? do u think its a good rule??

[/ QUOTE ]

[ QUOTE ]
won $36 tonite, heading back to my room now. 812-433-4000 room 428 if anyone in indiana wants to say hi and come visit this boat.

im gonna have go home to ks or to FL where theyres only poker and NO BJ or video poker, i cant handle this [censored], down to only $1720 now, lost over $600 more again today, mostly on BJ and video poker, only about $150 in the NL games.

[/ QUOTE ]

[ QUOTE ]

still only about $1740, just played $1-5 stud all nite long, won a little bit or id been down to about $1675. still aint got no where to sleep,. had to sleep outdorrs to save money and i dont know where the [censored] to go now or what to do, plus moms bugging me to go back home to KS> i want my [censored] $4000 back i had 2 weeks ago in st louis when i was winning. not sure whether to go to MS or try the NL agian.

[ QUOTE ]

miss talking to britni on pokerstars and anne, (they wont talk to me now, i even miss talking to lorna for that matter. at least she called me in the poker room and wanted me to send $300 (i said NO of course) and she said i should come to biloxi and put her in the game for $500. britni wont call me at all, my friend in KY never came to see me, said she didnt have any minutes on her phone and cant find anyone with a car. get sick of telling women bad news and having to let people know i cant afford a room cause i need my money back. had i not got barred from 3 casinos in tunica 12 years ago id try going there, maybe its been so long ago its okay. i need to be somewhere its 24 hrs and $29 rooms on weekdays. neeed some ADVICE but i doubt id listen.

[/ QUOTE ]

[ QUOTE ]

am now about $1790 instead of $1720, won some money at poker today, could been back up to close to $1900 had i not got on the damned 50 play 5cent video poker machine on the way out the door. good thing i didnt spend $45 on that motel room, or id not be at $1790. anyway am gonna get the bus to louisville in about 30 minutes if i dont miss it. there its 24 hr poker, id rather go to MS but i dont wanna sit on the bus that long. wish amtrak went thru here. i love traveling on amtrak, most places it dont service. in louisvile at ceasers the $1-2 nl always is 24 hours, not just on weekends. still wanna eventually end up in FL, or NY or AC NJ.

[/ QUOTE ]

[ QUOTE ]

i didnt feel $1700 was enough of a bankroll for the $100 buyin NL game, thats why i played BJ, i also got an edge there cause i can count cards. playing video poker was FOOLISH.went to catch the bus, and found out the fare was $70 just to louisville cause it goes way outta the way, got pissed, didnt catch it, now am consering taking bus to indianapolis or chicago instead and then getting amtrak to NYC. its $63 plus $158 for the train. or maybe ill call the golden moon casino in Philadelphia MS and see if any of their shuttles are from nashville its $39 to nashville, also thinking about going back to st louis cant catch a plane from here to NYC, i just looked and that would cost me over $400.

[/ QUOTE ]

[ QUOTE ]

well i really dont wanna live in ks and just play online, am SICK TO DEATH of playing online instead of live. checked back into the casino aztar hotel, room 522 812-433-4000 if u dont believe me. had to cause otherwise i wouldnt been allowed to use this internet computer no more since i was no longer a guest. so i just spent $50. also i gave them all my laundry to wash at the front desk, its $1.50 a pound, so it will be like $10 to wash it all. at least ill have lots of clean clothes once 5pm gets here. nice of them to let me check in so early, not used to casino hotels allowing that.

[/ QUOTE ]

[ QUOTE ]

also be aware sometime in august i will be getting my $1800 back pay from ssi, so i will have more money coming in. also i really do need to mail mom $257 FAST to keep my internet and rent paid back in KS so i can always have a place to go back to. also i will get over $300 from ssi the beginning of august directly deposited into my bank acct, so i dont have to worry about cashing a check.

[/ QUOTE ]

[ QUOTE ]
[censored]---shouldve SLEPT in the room i took this morning, instead i lost $200 at BJ waiting for the $1-5 stud to start cause i didnt think i could afford the $50 buyin in the NL $1-2 game. was that dumb? so im only at $1520 now dammit. going there now to SLEEP.

[/ QUOTE ]

[ QUOTE ]

am leaving the boat now, won over $175 tonite couldve won over $300 had i not had bad luck on BJ. won $220 off $50 in the $1-2 NL game, and quit it while ahead. then i won $342 off $100 in the pot limit omaha HIGH game and quit it while ahead too. both games i WON by buying in for the minimum since i got a low bankroll and then quitting them while i was ahead. wish i was in like MS or AC NJ and could walk from casino to casino and do that. going to now look at craigslist.com and see if i can find someone to drive me from evansville to louisville for $40-50 crazy how the greyhound bus takes u thru nashville TN 374 miles outta the way instead of the 115 miles straight shot. and makes a 7-8 hr trip outta what should be a 2 hour trip.

[/ QUOTE ]

[ QUOTE ]
hey just checked my online bank statement and found out some VERY GOOD NEWS, my $1869 from ssi just got added to my bank acct, so now my moneys at $3580 instead of $1700. now i better not blow all this money. gonna be off this computer in a minute, anyone with any suggestions whether id be better off in MS FL or AC NJ call 812-433-4000 room 522.

[/ QUOTE ]

[ QUOTE ]
i went back over to the boat, hit a royal on that machine, so i recovered a little over $200 of what im down playing machines for the week. would be up to about $1900 now, plus the other $1869 just deposited into my acct for about $3800 total, plus i need to go and mail mom $1000 now for what i owe her and to keep my rent uptodate back in KS.

[/ QUOTE ]

[ QUOTE ]
left the poker room an $80 winner tonite in the $1-5 stud game. it lasted a long time with just 3-4 players for quite a while. went to a BJ table with the $876 i had when i left the poker room and walked off the [censored] boat with only $8 of it. goddamn this [censored] [censored]. why the [censored] do i have such horrible luck when i know how to count the [censored] cards??

also i sent my mom $910 yesterday to pay her the $700 i owe her and pay my rent for aug which she will take over there and give them outta the remaining money i sent. sending that put me down to $2900 from $3800 and now im [censored] down to like $2100. ill never have any money. i at least wanted to travel to ms or AC NJ before i returned home, and hopefully meet at least one friend on my yahoo messenger list. i guess thats what i should be doing with my money instead of playing video poker and BJ. funny no neverbeg members nearby ever came up to this boat.

[/ QUOTE ]

[ QUOTE ]

finished adding up my online bank balances, cash etc, i think i got $2475 still left after renewing my hotel and the $910 i sent mom yesterday, had i not lost all that money id be around $3100 or more. might still be enough to work with in MS, but keith at the ssi office told me i needed to be home before the end of august, or theyd no longer consider me a resident of ks.

[/ QUOTE ]

[ QUOTE ]
won $220 tonite playing BJ, lost $50 at poker, which was ODD, anyway i made a reserv for 2 FREE COMP NITES at ceasers indiana, going there today for $100 gas by my friend on YAHOO, (julie the dealer) her guy friend is coming here to evansville to drive both of us back, he is picking her up in louisville and they will drive me to the casino. shes not a neverbeg member, u dont know her. nor is she a prospect, just a friend i talk to for over a year, like most of my yahoo friends are.

will be nice to finally be outta evansville and where poker is 24 hours. also feels good to have my rent and mom paid finally. found a guy willing to sell me a laptop here for $300, but thats still more than i wanted to pay, so i didnt buy it.

[/ QUOTE ]

[ QUOTE ]
ok im now officially in ceasers indiana. my friend julie who used to deal here and some guy drove me 115 miles here for $100. i got a comp room thurs and fri nite. room 939 812-969-6000 anyone in this area come say HI.

[/ QUOTE ]

[ QUOTE ]
i was playing $1-2 NL holdem on the boat, and earlier i bluffed a guy off a pot with QQ preflop, believe it or not. anyway its me and him again, i have KK, checked raised him from $12 to $60 preflop, he calls, flop is 983 and i push all in for $175 when he has pocket tens. i finally got him to call, and of course the 10 came up and beat me for all my chips.
then i rebought, and later i had 7J diamonds and the flop came 574, again i talked a guy into calling me, (his friend) and all he had was 78, sure enough he got lucky and drew out on me too.
so i left the table PISSED OFF at myself, went over to the video poker machine and deposited $200 and started playing it. left the video poker machine 2 hours later with $887 from the initial $200. so now im up to around $5000 even. no matter how hard i try not to, i keep winning everyday and cant lose for nothing. makes me wonder why any of u play online.

[/ QUOTE ]

[ QUOTE ]
u guys aint gonna believe this, but the woman in louisiana whose banned at NB for causing trouble, i spoke to her on the phone, wired her $164 via moneygram, and shes gonna use it to buy gas and food to drive 400 miles here as long as i give her $500 to play with on the boat. am afraid she wont show up, but at least that would save me $500. i really dont trust her at all. (theycallmecc on pokerstars.) still trying to find someone to come by who wants to sell a laptop cheap too.

[/ QUOTE ]

[ QUOTE ]
no im not buying any hookers. i did think about paying for a massage from one of them outcall services, but i dont wanna have sex with any hookers. they dont like to kiss on the lips, and they wanna disappear with ur money as quickly as possible. essentially what they do is TAKE ALL THE FUN OUTTA SEX, plus they wont do near as much for u as a girlfriend will. i want someone to sit by me, rub my back, and hang out at the poker table with me all day. and by the way fineazhell never did email me back a second time, not sure what became of them. maybe fineazhell couldnt find a woman willing to pretend to be her.

my minds strictly concentrating on accumulating as much money as i can, or maybe meeting some of the women on my YM friends list ive talked to online everyday about for many months or years.

am up to about $5100 now.

[/ QUOTE ]

[ QUOTE ]
now ragdoll is making excuses she cant come, claims its too far (12 hrs) instead of 8 hrs, claims i should FLY HER there instead, claims its unsafe for a woman to drive alone cause her car could break down, and she cannot understand why i dont go to MS instead cause she swears shell meet me at the isle of capri. dammit should i go there? i dont trust her at all. and i did pay for a nonrefundable ticket to philadelphia and would much rather be there. i dunno what to do. if she was willing to come meet me in MS and say hi WTF didnt she tell me that to start with??

[/ QUOTE ]

[ QUOTE ]
thats the whole point u dumb ass, (u and everyone else on this site). im not trying to get laid, im trying to find a girlfriend to hang out and play poker with. if i wanted to get laid id paid for a hooker a long time ago. people like u and lovetoflop are real stupid for thinking that. i dont wanna get laid, i just women to like me as a person and wanna spend time with me hanging out in the casino. i did meet a women once who wouldve been willing to fool around, and instead i wanted to go play poker.

[/ QUOTE ]

[ QUOTE ]
lorna may be a pain in the ass and have caused me all kind of problems, but at least she was a friend willing to talk to me and play poker, no matter how much grief she caused my friend britni and threatened me on various sites if i didnt give her money. and she sure dont wanna sleep with me. but at least shed go to a casino and play poker with me, and would definitely play to WIN. even though id be wasting my money.

[/ QUOTE ]

[ QUOTE ]
up and awake, going over to the poker room now. the woman HEATHER who i talked to on the phone might come up here in about 1-2 hrs, from an ad on myspace, she lives in louisville and NO SHE DIDNT MENTION MONEY, and i dont know what became of theycallmecc, shes not answering the phone or been online, maybe she really is driving up here, she said maybe shed come up with another woman whod help drive the way with her. its just i couldnt relax and enjoy myself at the tables around her, id be so afraid shed be out to use me for every dime i got. am angry i cant just have me a good friend like lovetoflop willing to come play poker instead of the only women willing to come see me, ones out to use me for money. and i never heard back from fineazhell so i dont know what went on there. sure hope 2 women dont show up same time.

[/ QUOTE ]

[ QUOTE ]
just to be safe i locked $3000 in the safe deposit box and brought the rest to the poker room, i feel so much more comfortable not carrying the money in cash. having all that money in cash is why id be afriad to let a woman in my room, and then to fall asleep with them in there.

[/ QUOTE ]

[ QUOTE ]
not sure whats going on, am reading my online bank balance, and its about $150 less than i figured, will ask about a days charge thats supposed to be comped at the hotel desk. says my bank acct is down to only $980, it should be way more than that, guess im only about $4900 total instead of over $5100 like i thought i was. wish id not wasted that $164. hell i could have found a hooker for $100, but i wanted a true friend to come and hang out, and for a true friend, its the mans responsibility to pay all the expenses. in fact it should be against the law for women to have to work, men are supposed to take care of them. but i am way too afraid to trust this women to really consider her a true friend.

[/ QUOTE ]

[ QUOTE ]
just left the boat down about $450 all becuase of BJ, and when i left the poker room i was up about $300 dammit, and them 2 women never did show up, its better in a way, at least if lorna dont show up i wont have to give her the $500 i promised to stake her in the game.

[/ QUOTE ]

[ QUOTE ]
i dont believe anything anyone says, i know for a fact u aint a woman, and i dont suppose u wanna introduce me to any either. would love to challenge u to see who could turn a $100 buyin into the biggest stack within 24 hours though. (we sit in the same NL $1-2 game.)
by the way i met a women in the business center using the computer who i got to talking to, she gave me a good kiss and was feeling my dick and left before anyone came in the room, and borrowed a green $25 chip off me. swear to God. she just got to talking and started asking me questions. i sure doubt it was one of the friends i was trying to meet though.

[/ QUOTE ]

[ QUOTE ]

she wouldve came to my room and did more, if id gave her more money, but seeing she was black, i was afraid of getting robbed.

[ QUOTE ]
now im mad. aint heard a damn thing from my friend in LA who i wired the $164 to, they closed the poker room from 3am-11am for maintenance tonite, never did see the woman heather who lives in louisville and was coming over to the boat, and i LOST THE WHOLE [censored] $1200 i left the poker room with at BJ. not just the money i told u earlier i lost, i lost the whole goddamn thing. am down to $4100 now from $5500 earlier, maybe i do need to get the [censored] outta here. how could i afford to give lorna the $500 for us to play with now even if she did show up? this is what happens when they close up the goodam poker room. getting ready to log into YM right quik to check messages there before i go back to room.

[/ QUOTE ]

[ QUOTE ]
were i not so terrified of being robbed id have gave it to that other woman. the reason i cant find a woman is cause im too afraid to invite them over. thats why i gotta get to know them first, and the way to do that is to either talk online for months, or to hang out at the poker table. once a women in seattle invited me to stay over at her place when i was homeless, but since i had about $400 in my sock to gamble with, i was too afraid to come over there. sure im still alive because i didnt go over there, but maybe id been ok anyway. i have too many fears, i guess thats why they finally okayed me for ssi.

[/ QUOTE ]

[ QUOTE ]
what i really wish is that i could have a normal life, be married and have a family, but its too late, all them women interested in settling down with one man they really love dont wait until they are my age, they do it when they are 20-25 and theyd have no interest in a guy whose 38

u need to start READING MY POSTS. the $3000 is in the safe deposit box, perfectly secure. the rest of the money was LOST AT 21, dammit. and do u think i wanna pay a $30 cab fare to bank of america to make a deposit and a $30 cab fare back to my hotel at ceasers? hell no. i will deposit the money when i leave here on wed on the way to the airport. stop and think before u post. u should be able to figure out thats my plan. i certainly wasnt carrying that much cash when i came to this boat.

remember i won it all in the poker room. i do so good at NL live i wanna stay on vacation, just gotta watch the demons a little bit.

[/ QUOTE ]

[ QUOTE ]
renewed room for my last and final day, going to philadelphia tomorrow nite, will leave here about 3pm, plenty early to visit a bank of america etc. going over to play BJ and visit the poker room now. i see theres a few guys from 2+2 forums in the area too. still mad about the big loss at BJ, paid $109 for todays room, went to relax in the really hot pool, but left shortly cause i felt hot. i did hear from lorna in offline messages, she said her dad told her she shouldnt come unless she got ALL th emoney first. she wasnt ever gonna come anyway.

[/ QUOTE ]

[ QUOTE ]
who is littlemarie133 on yahoo messenger? they got on pretending to be a woman, said they seen me in evansville poker room, asked me how big my [censored] was, sent me a xrated pic of their [censored] that couldve been anyone really, if it was really a woman serious about meeting sorry for not trusting them, but i know how people are and id never really be able to trust someone ever again without getting to know them really well. had to be one of u guys [censored] with me.

[/ QUOTE ]

[ QUOTE ]
never did find out whose YM id that was, anyway i [censored] lost $850 again on the damn boat, down to $3200 now, seriously i need to get the [censored] outta here, i was going to the poker room, someone got to the podium just before me and stole the last seat, then i started playing BJ and video poker. also more bad news, i looked in the phone book and lousiville doesnt have any bank of america branches dammit. that means i gotta carry all that [censored] money with me to philadelphia on the plane and deposit it once i get to ac only ill have to wait til morning.

[/ QUOTE ]

[ QUOTE ]
just checked outta my room at ceasers, gonna play til 3.30 pm and then call me a $50 cab to the airport, pissed there is NO bank of america in this city, and also i just made hotel reserv in ac nj for harrahs casino online, got thrus nite coming up tomorrow COMPED, reserved it online just now with my credit card. lorna wont talk to me at all now, cause shes angry i wouldnt send the rest of the money, says i lied in telling her it was 8 hrs to get here instead of 12 hours, claims she got a babysitter for nothing, and was pissed i wouldnt just throw about my ticket and come to MS instead. i wouldve came to MS instead had i not already reserved the ticket, when her and my friend in AL earlier didnt get back in touch about me thinking about coming to biloxi. but really id much rather be in AC NJ than biloxi. emptied my safe deposit box here now.

[/ QUOTE ]

[ QUOTE ]
anyone in the AC area wanna bet me $200 they can sit in the same $1-2 NL game for 24 hrs at my table and turn $100 into a bigger stack than i can?

[/ QUOTE ]

[ QUOTE ]
well i followed everyones advice today stuck to nothing but poker, and proceeded to lose $275 in the NL holdem, still pissed about the BJ loss from last nite, maybe that affected my game, still at about $3000 roll, getting ready to make my cab. now where in AC are the cheapest NL games, and where is the cheapest tourneys with a decent blind structure where u have more like 50-100 big bets instead of 10 big bets to start? also i found out that u are allowed to take a laptop on a plane, didnt know if it was allowed, but i never bought one yet so its moot. cant afford one now, still really need one.

[/ QUOTE ]

[ QUOTE ]
had $918 cash on me when i entered the poker room. found out about the $6 every half hour in time charges, which PISSED ME OFF and i started out playing BAD. was in for a $118 buyin, and 2 $100 buyins, then bought in for $300. this one beautiful woman named stephanie was sitting by me who played very loose and aggressive. she took 4th in the tourney that had 190 players in it. kystudplaya was also in that tourney, so im sure he knows who i mean. anyway she won a big pot in which the flop was 67T and the very next hand i got dealt 89 offsuit, and called a raise to $12 to play it, pissed about the hand before(having it a hand too late.) then the flop came K98, and she bet and i raised, and then called her allin, knowing i had her beat. the pot was like $850. all she had was KQ and then a king came on the river to beat me. man did that piss me off. i then bought in the last $300 and eventually about 10 hours later left the game with $1496, (cause im good) and i was in the game for $918 total, so most of that was winnings. the girl left about 3 hrs before i left with way over $1000 on her. im assuming someone in that poker room is her old man, no idea who.

[/ QUOTE ]

[ QUOTE ]
starved to death gonna go and eat in a minute before i get on the boat. anyway i went to ks with $1400 in dec 2005 and i never ever went broke on it, never did get below $400. if this goes under $2000 ill just go home, i paid my rent back in ks, my phone bill cable bill online, etc.

absolutely no way ill lose this if i play nothing but poker. havent touched a hand of BJ since i got on the boat, and didnt lose more than $75 on video poker either. anyone expecting me to lose it aint too smart.

[/ QUOTE ]

[ QUOTE ]
anyway ill be back early sept or late aug, i got tired of the fact the women i know in AL near MS dont seem to answer their mails, so i dont think ill go to MS just yet, instead i found a $98 airfare to philadelphia PA, and from there its $6 to ac Nj on the metro. went ahead and reserved it by credit card just 2 minutes ago and its nonrefundable. so im flying there wed nite at 6.56pm at the airport in louisville. so im gonna be in ac nj the rest of august instead.

booked a room at passport inn and suites, on east whitehorse pike, for tomorrow nite for $46, best deal i could find. better than sleeping in the health spa at ballys by the pool all day for $30. sitting here online pokerstars waiting for my laundry to finish. since u live in ny cardplayergal u should come up here. theres gotta be nb members in the area. also still trying to find a cheap laptop thru craigslist.com

u know why i aint been online? fiucking lost all my money but $1200 cant quit playing BJ and video poker everytime i lose my whole $60 buyin 3 times in a row in the NL holdem, loaned some bitch $60 here in ac i knew from before and got desperate to get it back, terrified ill lose everything and here im supposed to return to ks real soon. someone pray for me, if there are any Christians on this site. cant afford to pay for internet time anymore, spent $5 today and the other day wasted $32 paying for internet time.

now at $1400, slept i the bathroom at trump marina all nite in the stall, security never said a word, about 11 hrs i slept, worried sick about money, am heading over to ballys soon to play $1-5-10 stud, spent $6 for an hr online first.

i only play poker is all, i only get 50c in comps an hour for playing poker. been playing mostly at ballys. what about the $1000 loss they should have me down for losing at Bj at ballys the other day? maybe they didnt realize i lost? the people who gets com ps are the ones who play SLOTS.

i got banned from taj about 8-10 years ago for panhandling, and security removed me from the poker room and my pic was at the front podium, no idea who all still works there from that many years ago if i went in the poker room now. theyd remember me i think cause i played there alot of times back in the 1990s. have not tried to play there in years, did try to play there once 4 years later, and they remembered who i was.

in a way i really wish i was home in ks on my own computer again, not stressed about where i can have somewhere to sleep. im still worse off than i was before i ever left home.

CLIFFNOTES

I want to make a pseudo-documentary of a special needs guy, Tony Bigcharles (YES, HIS REAL NAME), with a gambling addiction and his journey without a car across the country to various casinos as he tries to take his social security money and run it up over about a month's time. He has done this in the past with some hilarious and/or sad results. He has hid 2k in his sock while he slept in a public park. He has slept in a public restroom. He has sent money to a girl he talked to on the internet and thought they would come meet them at a casino. He gave a "black woman" a $25 casino chip because she was rubbing him but then was glad she didn't leave with him as he was afraid she would "rob him". He continually can't fight his addiction to video poker and blackjack where he is a loser even though if he stuck to the stud, omaha, and holdem games he could grind out a living.

I want to to this for no benefit to myself, just enough to cover costs of production and to help Tony out financially so that he doesn't have to do this kind of stuff anymore.

As far as the documentary idea, I don't think I'd watch it. Watching a degenerate lose his money away just seems sad. GL with the marketing person search.

"I want to to this for no benefit to myself, just enough to cover costs of production and to help Tony out financially so that he doesn't have to do this kind of stuff anymore."

I appreciate your wanting to help him out and all, but he doesn't HAVE to do what he's doing now as it is. Unless your talking about getting him help for his addiction, I don't see why the help you gave him wouldn't end up in the same places as his SS check, just that he'll have more of it to gamble with. What am I missing here? The last thing this guy needs is a lump sum of money to gamble away.

Mark Ortega 10-31-2007 06:06 PM

Re: Tony Bigcharles: The Documentary (WITH CLIFFNOTES)

I am hoping along with the monetary help he would be given, he could take a look at what we have done with him and show him that he has an addiction. To tell you the truth, he can grind out a living playing poker, he is definitely good enough to do this. His problem is, he continually drifts over to the blackjack and video poker areas and just donates his money. Depending on what kind of money is raised, he could get the help he needs from some sort of psychiatrist and maybe learn to give up on those games completely.

Re: Tony Bigcharles: The Documentary (WITH CLIFFNOTES)

"neeed some ADVICE but i doubt id listen." If Tony's family/friends haven't been able to convince him, I doubt a professional could either.

Mark, I'll give you my take on things, which I'm reluctant to do since I don't know Tony personally:

First, it seems that the pit games are only part of his problem. Many of his problems stem from deficits in adaptive living skills and social skills, both of which are central to Autism, of course. He gets taken in by women, who exploit his loneliness for money, and his money management skills are non-existent. One problem with Autistic individuals is that they lack the mental processes needed to learn true social behavior, although they can learn some rote ways of handling common social situations. They also tend to be quite rigid and resistant to changing their thinking.

Tony feels good about gambling, because in the world of odds, card counting, and probability, he feels comfortable and competent, in contrast with his difficulties in society. imo, if he were to allow someone he trusts to handle and budget his money for him, while allowing him to play cards within certain limits, that might be workable for him.

Re: Tony Bigcharles: The Documentary (WITH CLIFFNOTES)

The second part you said is a great idea, in my opinion.

My problem is, from everything I have heard in some of his talking, his mother isn't a very good person. He has a disability but was living on the streets in the '90s and panhandling. It wasn't until he got SSI that he was allowed back, I think. And that was because he was paying her money etc etc.

Re: Tony Bigcharles: The Documentary (WITH CLIFFNOTES)

Frankly, he doesn't sound like he's on the autism spectrum to me, but I suppose he could be. But I just don't get that vibe from his writing.

In any case, your making a documentary isn't going to help this situation. He needs someone looking after him and helping him control his interests. If his mom isn't up the task, I really fear the worst for him, because he very obviously has a problem.

Good luck with this, assuming you are involved in his life in some way. Sounds like lots of people are lining up to take advantage of this guy. They are all, of course, going straight to hell, but that's humans for you.

If you only need to cover expenses, just take advantage of best buy or circuit city's two week return window on camcorders. The high end digital ones they sell are good enough to make an indie movie.

I am looking for backers who want to stake my forthcoming movie, LuckyJimm: The Musical. This is a film about a degenerate railtard who loves to try and 'spin it up' but inevitably ends up busto.

Starring Stephen Fry as LuckyJimm, the movie contains great songs such as Sitting On The Rail, You Spin Me Up (like a roulette wheel), Luck Be a £5 Hooker Tonight and other smash hits.

I just need $10m to finance this film. It would be more, but I know that Jimm will be happy to work for a $30 buy-in, and a £20 lap dance at Spearmint Rhino, so the rest will go to pay me and Stephen Fry.

Re: Tony Bigcharles: The Documentary (WITH CLIFFNOTES)

I was stunned when i saw the subject line.
In the mid to late nineties i was dealing on the President Riverboat in Davenport Iowa when i first ran into Tony "Wewaise" Big Charles. He appeared out of the blue one day and played for days at a time and then slept in a field close to the boat in the summer.
He was a panhandler at the time, i have actually seen with my own eyes, tony standing on the side of the exit ramp of the I-74 bridge with a sign that read" Need buyin for poker game".

Him panhandling for a stake became a matter of contention for some and he was jeered by a player one night.."tony, why don't you go out an get a job"
His response... "i wouldn't degrade myself by working for minimum wage, i can make 2000 in a couple days at a certain corner in Chicago".

Tony would come an go, with months between visits at times. Friends said he appeared in aurora Illinois years late, and i saw him here in Arizona at CAZ once about 3 years ago.

He looks the same but different in that picture, his hair used to be HUGE and unkempt, usually containing bits and pieces of grass and dirt from where he had slept.

Strange that he has made it on to 2p2.

Re: Tony Bigcharles: The Documentary (WITH CLIFFNOTES)

just seeing this post here about ME for the first time, i am the one and only tony bigcharles, and u will notice from my post count ive been a member here quite a while, and i really think the moderators shouldve told me about this post, for i didnt even know it was here. let me correct the 100's of inaccuracies. im also tied up in the hilo omaha PL tourney $5.50 rebuy on stars, playing a stake, so pray i do good in it.

first off i only ONCE IN MY LIFE put on the sign i wanted a poker stake, (i quickly found that ineffective). i did try panhandling several times off an on for over 10 years, 3 times i got a $100 bill on a cold winter day. but i specifically remember it was a WOMAN DEALER who yelled out at me from that boat in IOWA not a guy, when she drove by and seen me with that sign. and i said every time i got broke, (or close to broke, say $200 or less) i would only go out there for about a week (to get $200-300 more together) certainly not no ""$2000"" as the OP claims. for if that were true dont u think id been out there WAY MORE ALL DAY EVERY DAY instead of being in the casino 90% of the time instead? it is ludicrous the amount some people think panhandlers make. i got like $15-20 on a bad day, and $60 or so on a very good day. and i aint held up that sign in years, since TV ruined it for everyone and people no longer give a dime. TV made everyone to look BAD, and yet i never in my whole life, drank a beer, or smoked dope or even cigarettes, (unlike many homeless people.)

id have never been broke, were i not always wasting poker wins on Blackjack and video poker. and i certainly didnt REFUSE TO WORK. in fact i was never even offered jobs, UNLESS I HELD THE SIGN, (when id apply in a real store, they'd never have me come in for an interview.) holding the sign the only way to get one.

i can tell u about a warehouse in memephis i worked at for a week, and a cleanup person at a furniture store in wichita for 2 days, both of which i did due to someone seeing me hold the sign. also i was offered various odd jobs in peoples homes and yards. i only turned down the ones i wasnt physically able to do, have never been too strong physically.

and mark paints a very inaccurate picture of my MOM in here. in fact mark is an ass most of the time i known him on the other site. the truth was i was HOMELESS at the time i moved to KS and started playing online, but i wasnt broke, i had about a $1400 bankroll on me, (i simply was using it for poker instead of for housing.) she took me in and let me live there for only $50 a week LONG LONG before i started getting ssi. in fact she did a lot of work to help me get the ssi along with sunflower diversified services. the only thing she didnt like was the way ssi 2 years later, (when i finally got it) let me keep the ssi myself and automatically deposit it into my bank instead of making her my payee.

truth is im very responsible with money (not paying for shelter in the past notwithstanding). i right now have a $1000-1500 bankroll. and i play online 12 hrs a day or so and win anywhere from negative $500 to positive $1500 a month, overall i come out ahead $2-7 thousand a year from online poker. i play in low limit games most cash draw NL games or hilo omaha games on stars and FTP. i definitely wouldnt dream of risking my whole roll on like $5-10 or $10-20 for example, like some would. its just that before i got the ssi i had to be 100% sure i never went busted, and yet still won lets say "$33-50 a day playing mostly $1-5 stud at the mirage, or somewhere."" for thats uaually what i won about $1000-1500 a month playing LIVE. now when that dealer knew me in Iowa, i didnt win near that much then i was just getting started. hell he will tell u i played $1-3 FIXED LIMIT holdem there just $1 blind only.

anyone having any doubts about my abilities to play online poker should look up the name goforlowonly on opr.com im a good player with a 21% positive ROI on full tracking. my only problem is ive never had the bankroll to play high, due to playing pit games, casino games, and wasting in on so many women always trying to find someone able to accept me, and not being able to drive, or being good at meeting people socially in the real world.

this guy is pretty accurate in what he said about me and i dont even know it. i would definitely need to have my bankroll controlled by someone i TRUST and the problem is there is no one id TRUST. mom is a FOCUS ON THE FAMILY SUPPORTER and hates me gambling online.( i was relieved she wasnt make my payee). and other women just out to use me. at least mom helped me with a place to live, let me gamble online while i lived there, and worked hard to get me SSI. i would love to have someone travel with me WHO WOULD KEEP ME AWAY from playing anything but POKER. problem is i have no one. and yes i most definitely feel (like u said) that cards is the only area in which im good at. so thats why i wanna play playing poker constantly, its the only skill i have. i could never get hired in real life. and meeting a woman very difficult because most women dont want a guy who dont know how to drive, and most women see a negative connotation to gambling, and the thing is AS LONG AS I STICK TO POKER, im not really gambling.

but u see why i feel its so unfair the govt wants to FORCE US OUTTA OUR HOMES and into casinos where we are tempted to play all the WRONG types of games, and not only that the tables are $1-2 NL games and up instead of the 10c-25c blind NL games online. i do not have the $3000-5000 roll id really need for $1-2 NL live cash games, although ive made do many times with far less and still won at it alot. and i really miss all the $1-5 stud games i used to play it horrifies me how its all died out. for that game with a bankroll as low as $500-750 u could play it for YEARS and still make over $1000 a month. (never seen a more easily winnable game for a person on a very tiny bankroll.)the govt really has no right to force disabled people outta their homes, make them travel 100s of miles to a casino, and then have to sit in a game for stakes higher than they can afford. i wouldnt be eligible for ssi if i was working a minimum wage job and most of my life, no ones been willing to hire me or even let me come in to talk about getting hired peorid. they look at me see i have no social skills and decide to reject me. had i been able to get a job, ssi wouldnt have approved me. it was a very difficult process getting approved, and it took over a year to have it appealed.

and by saying the govt is forcing us outta our homes is OBVIOUS, they are trying to make it illegal and block all poker sites from providing me with any service. leaving that as peoples only option to gamble. why cant the ADA (ameicans with disabilities law) be used to bring a lawsuit against the UIGEA? lots of people are unable to travel to a casino. please i want a lawyer to answer this.

the whole point is, had i not gotten money from panhandling, id not even had the $1400 i came to KS with, enabling me to travel to KS live at moms, and get SSI and see my son, all of which greatly improved my life. u see, had i been entirely broke, id not wanted to come to KS. but since i had some money to play online with, i came to KS 2 years ago. the money i got panhandling in years past, (not the whole $1400 of course, but im sure a small part of it came from that-maybe 10-20%? is what enabled me to better myself. i feel like i used the money very responsibly since i was a long term winner overall at the poker instead of a long term loser. if 2 people are dead broke and they both come across $200 to gamble with, one plays poker and one plays slots, one goes bust quickly and the other guy has the $200 up to $500 within a month, u should not see them both as pathetic addicts although society tends to think that way cause the only gamblers society see as successful are the high stakes winners. not the steady grinders clearing an extra $500-1000 a month in the $2-4 games.society needs to change their thinking. and so do u if u think that pokers hurt me instead of my other forms of gambling. im a very good example of why the govt SHOULD let people play low stakes poker in their homes instead of forcing them to travel to a casino and play much higher stakes with all the other temptations.

Wow, what a surprise. I actually played with this guy a few times in the Mid-west about 5 years ago. This guy is pretty strange. He went out of his way to point out errors in others play and would totally spaz out whenever out-drawn. Tony's appearance was a whole nother spectical of its own. The guy looked and smelled like he lived in trash can and used raw sewage for deoderant. Also he would constantly be scratching his head and by the time he left the table there was a pile of dandruff and filth surrounding his seat. Obviously I knew this guy had issues, but at the time I figured that maybe he was some kind of idiot savant who had a firm mathematical grasp of the game. I think we was commuting via bus from ohio. Nice to see you're still alive Tony. [img]/images/graemlins/smile.gif[/img]

Re: Tony Bigcharles: The Documentary (WITH CLIFFNOTES)

Lol, I played with the guy in Golden Nugget,LV 2-4 limit game. He looked very unclean and people who came in to play in the morning, did not want to sit in the game cause the only two sempty seats were next to him. I remember him saying that he traveled around U.S and played poker.

Funny is that when I just started reading OP I was like, hey I met one guy who talks like op described and has a similar lifestyle, and then I saw his pic and was pretty suprised. Small world we are living in.
