Will be interesting if Tom Cruise sticks around on the couch. Maybe after hearing Paul's message, he will jump on the couch and talk about how much he is in love with Rep. Paul.

Pretty solid interview imo. Good to see him getting exposure to the average person who doesn't watch a ton of news.

Besides being annoying, I think his supporters in the audience are doing him a disservice by cutting into his time by applauding every line.

An Austrian economics shout out on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, gotta love it.

He delivered the message about as well as he could have...to a huge national audience no less. Great stuff.

Ron Burgundy 10-31-2007 12:33 AM

Re: Don\'t Forget: Dr. Paul on The Tonight Show Tonight

BOOOMMM He nailed it. That was awesome. Leno actually let him speak and didn't ask any retarded questions, and didn't interrupt him with stupid comments. Leno certainly couldn't ever get a job at Fox news.

Re: Don\'t Forget: Dr. Paul on The Tonight Show Tonight

Two things:

1. Tom Cruise is creepy as [censored].

2 Ron Paul did a great job, he seemed very comfortable.

Oh yeah on more thing, kind of pissed I missed Slash on David Letterman.

Huh? That was a pretty standard level of applause.

iron81 10-31-2007 12:36 AM

Re: Don\'t Forget: Dr. Paul on The Tonight Show Tonight

Yeah, it was, but I'm saying that standard isn't optimal.

About how well Paul did, that's pretty standard as well. Leno is much more of a softball interview than anyone would get on Fox News or in the MSM from someone like Russert. That's why celebrities and Politicians like to come on his show.

iron81,

There appears to be some sand in your vagina.

I thought he started off a tad rough; kind of wedged in that first comment about hard money in an incomplete way that made it look non sequitor to Jay's question. It wasn't, as it was the issue of inflation and hard money that got Dr. Paul to run for office, which was Jay's question, but he didn't tie it together.

After that he visibly relaxed and did a fantastic job. Just brilliant. And yes, he mentioned Austrian economics. Awesome.

Had a lot of great lines and a reasonable answer for every doubt Jay expressed.

You rock, Dr. Paul!

LOL at Sex Pistols doing Anarchy in the UK.

How in the world can that be a disservice? Would it somehow be better if he was making a point about something a lot of people don't know about (hard money, 'backing' the dollar) and was followed by crickets?

Pretty much what I was about to say. Hearing applause reassures people that don't understand that it's a good thing and he's not a crazy weirdo.

Yeah. Iron is pretty much off the reservation on this one. Wild applause never = bad.
