Tampa or Canada

I am going to be turning 19 in December and will be taking a trip to a 18 and over casino that spreads NLHE the two places i have found that have NLHE and allow 18 year olds are basically all Canadian Casinos and all Florida casino's. I have narrowed it down to Casino Windsor in Ontario a Harrahs property or Hard Rock in Tampa. I will be bringing a couple thousand and spending about 5 days down there. So which would be the better place to go I hear the games in Tampa are real soft which could potentially mean a big score but i also hear that Casino Windsor has some PLO which is a huge plus.

I'm not 100% sure but I think the cash games in Tampa for the NLHE is 1/2 100 max buy-in. Not your typical buy-in for that level. I know 100% the max buy-in is 100 but i'm not sure on the blinds. But that is the usual deal in Florida card rooms.

Tampa has a lot of people so I'm sure that that games are soft. They also have higher buy-in sit n go's and higher buy-in tournaments and Hard Rock is a nice casino.

Straight off the website.

No Limit Texas Hold’em

$1 - $2 Small Blind = $1 Big Blind = $2

Minimum buy-in: $50 Maximum buy-in: $100

In all games players must secure their seat with no more than $100.

Rebuys allowed to a maximum of $100.

Rake: 10% with a minimum of $1

Maximum of $5 on all games

December? Stay away from Windsor - even if the weather isn't typically bad (last year we had rain on New Years Eve), there's nothing else to do apart from the casino.

Why would you go to Ontario in december when you can go to Florida?

Also, why go to Ontario when you can come to BC?

You can play in Oklahoma at the Winstar. Lots of games at about 50 minute drive from Dallas / Ft. Worth. I usually play there about once every six weeks.

I just got with a session at the Hard Rock in Tampa. Every game is max buy in of $100 regardless of blind level or game. I've had a winning session every time I've played there. The room seems to be full every day of the week.

i guess i was mistaken i am now hearing that Michigan also has some NLHE games at 18 and over casinos...well i mean any casino i go too now is going to be way nicer then the casinos i have played at up to this point...but all the sudden i am kind of leaning toward a Canadian casino solely so i can drink while playing...but Tampa still sounds pretty tempting especially the high stakes SNGS and the weather...anyone know of any states besides Michigan Oklahoma and Florida that spread NLHE games at casinos a 19 year old can enter

Tampa cardrooms are very soft but the $100 max buyin sucks. Most rooms spread 1-2 and 2-5 with lots and lots of big multiway pots. Not unusual for 1-2 tables to see $300-$500 pots fairly often and for 2-5 tables to see $700 pots.

I recently moved here from SoCal and given the choice, I'd check out the CA indian casinos since they offer much better buy ins and bigger limits.

Morongo is definitely 18+ and you could try Sycuan, Barona and Viejas ( all in San Diego area unless they burned in the recent fires)

If you make it to TPA I'll be the guy on your left 3 & 4 betting you.

You live in Washington? Drive up the road to Vancouver. Tons of 1/2 and 2/5 NL. The 1/2 is a $200 buy-in max and the 2/5 is deep stack with a $1k max buy-in.
