It would be nice if all (or at least a lot of mods, like MH, Dibs, etc.) had the ability, just for emergencies, to temporarily move threads to the mod forum, so that when really really bad stuff pops up (like underage pornography or whatever,) it doesn't stay up because there are no other mods awake.

I believe we will be able to do this when vbull is implemented mid november.

the only alternative before then is to make some people mods in all forums.

actually i'm going to mod mike haven across the board right now.

Mat may be giving a few more mods cross-forum modding rights, but it's really only for "vital" deletions and bans for when the home mods or Admins don't appear to be online. We won't be expected to do any "ordinary" modding.

Actually, as it's new to me, I am fighting with myself to stop being over-zealous, so if I make a few mistakes in the next few hours, please forgive me while I get used to the new experience of seeing deletable/bannable stuff, but trying not to take any action.

VB has a 'queue' feature [in its mod forums, or maybe the admin forums?] that lines up user reports and proposed bans etc. in one place for people with the right permissions to act upon/approve/deny.

note that I have no idea how to set that up and it may not be a default.

LOL, I don't know where to put this but I just CTRL-F'ed a thread in Sports about the Bulls to find Clark's opinion on it because he is very good at NBA analysis and the only hit was in the moderator roll call. So his gimmick account is now a mod of Sports. Heh.

I don't really know or care if ClarkNasty is Clark's gimmick, but I think it's pretty silly to make a gimmick of a known poster is a bit silly.

Other notes: Clark's account doesn't have any notes about his recent altercation, and is unbanned. It also hasn't posted in like forever.?

I asked him about that awhile back, jokingly suggesting that he was trying to hide from Mason by posting under an alternate account. He just said something like he thinks ClarkNasty is 9X the poster that Clarkmeister is. So I guess he just wanted a change of scenery for now. Or something.
