Villian had just doubled up by open shoving with 44. Even with this information, is this call right?

villain open shoved w/ like 400 chips tho, not full stacks, so it's not a horrible play... I muck and try to find a better spot.

If he just did almost the exact same thing with 44, I think you should call. The only hands that have you beat are JJ, QQ, KK, AA. His range for shoving is probably bigger than that by quite a bit. Obviously this time he probably had you beat or you wouldn't be posting, but I think the call is okay.

He was down to 400, and you know how he got up to 800. How did he get down to 400 early in the sng? knowing this might help to make your decision with tens.

I would agree that generally players either get coolered or suck when they get so short early
