Cake, Chili, Carbon, and Red Star Poker bonus

i was wondering if any of these sites are legitimate as to cash outs, customer service, and easy to clear bonuses. i have done a lot of research, on forums and poker reviews, but can't find the endorsements that would make me feel comfortable putting in several hundred dollars. i play stars, bodog, and absolute normally but have takin a beating lately and need a change of scenery and why not try for some bonus money also....please help and thank you

I've never played at Carbon but if you are a US player you should know they do not use epass . Cake and Red Star cash out to epass in about 24 hours. I don't think you can get checks from either though. I've never played Chili.

Probably be helpful if you told us where you're from (US or not) and what you play. If you're from the US, forget Chili...they're an iPoker skin.

Then Chili's out, and if you need EPP it sounds like from what PA said that Carbon is out as well. Cake and Red Star are on the same network, you should find lots of threads in this forum on Cake if you'd like to get more opinions.

I play on Cake a decent amount, their software needs work but if you use epass cashouts won't be a problem.

Cake has actually improved the software in the month or two I have been playing there. When I first started, the tables would freeze on me all the time (I'd even have times where some tables would freeze and others would be fine). After a couple updates, most problems have been fixed. The one problem I still have is after I play a S&G, I can't open up any other tables once I return to the main lobby, and sometimes the tables aren't even listed. I have to close the software and restart.

But I digress, as this wasn't really relevant to the question.

I am a very risk averse player (and depositor...). cake is fine, don't know about the others. Their software may not be on par with the best (stars/fulltilt) but i don't have many freezes (vista home premium). As a US player (you, i'm not) that has not endless sites to play at i sure think clearing the cake bonus + getting rakeback is a must...

I don't play as much online these days with all the new hassles and tougher games, but I did sign up for Cake recently to get the sign-up bonus and RB. I've only had a few minor problems with the software, and the one time it cost me a pot I e-mailed support and they credited me some of the cash (not the entire pot, but what I had paid in). Also, the games are fairly fishy, I think the 10-tabling nits stay away because PT doesn't work there. I haven't tried cashing out yet, though.

Yeah cake has gotten a lot better. I still do sometimes get times when I just get the hourglass on the mouse and to get rid of it I have to restart cake. They've also done it so if you've got a table active with a decision to be made another one won't pop up until you've acted(good for playing stacked SNGs)

I need a referal also. it's worth $100 to both of us.

You guys want to sign up with rakeback, you don't want a crappy $100 referral.....

We have had a nice little upswing lately in slightly higher stakes, 5/10 in particular.

If you haven't logged in for a while come back and have a look.

Unless you guys start taking epassporte, most US players won't even bother.

You are talking for Carbon Poker??

I still play there but can't multi table correctly.
So I open 2-3 tables from carbon and 3-4 from another site.

And I'm not yet a 5-10 but I know there is only 1 or 2 table running at this limit most of the time

Re: Cake, Chili, Carbon, and Red Star Poker bonus

I actually have several questions regarding rakeback and bonuses, a couple of which apply to Cake, so I'll just ask here. First of all, I don't really even know how to "get" rakeback, i.e. what is actually involved-- I know you have to go through an affiliate, but I don't really even know what that means. I am a serious player and I will be getting a lot more serious in the next year, so can somebody run down the actual process for me? That would be really cool and I'd appreciate it, along with maybe recommending a good affiliate to go with. Also, a lot of the sites I am planning on playing and getting RB with also have initial deposit bonuses, and I am wondering if having a rakeback acct. interferes with new players' eligibility for bonuses (cake in particular). If anybody can give me some credible answers to these, I'd appreciate it. Sorry to be such a uninformed tardish noob.

It seems the fact they have casino games excludes them from ePass. Some rooms have blocked these games for ePass depositing players. It's crazy to think they make more money having casino games w/o a realistic way of paying or receiving funds from US players then to get rid of the blackjack etc. and be able to accept ePass.

I have been lurking here for a couple of days hoping someone would reply to justaPlayer's question so I wouldn't have to ask the same thing and expose myself for the ignorant noob I am. I know by now this must be common knowledge for most of you but I've lost out on RB before (FT, UB, Doyle's Room)because I deposited for sign-up bonus before applying for RB and I want to be sure I've got the process straight before I make my first deposit on Cake. I downloaded the Cake software from Bonus Whores, now I'm on the deposit page for ePassporte. BW site says N/A for first deposit bonus code but WHORE for RB bonus code. If I make the deposit using the RB code will I automatically collect the first time deposit bonus at the same time? Seems basic I know but I'm a noob and like I said I blew the RB on the other sites by reversing the process and I don't want to blow it again.
Sorry for wasting your time with such an ignorant question and for taking up so much space. Your kindness and consideration for a poor noob would be greatly appreciated. As you can see, I'm so new I haven't figured out how to do quotes correctly (sigh)

Re: Cake, Chili, Carbon, and Red Star Poker bonus

Pipermax, just make sure your cookies will track you to BW and you should be OK. Cake seems to have no problem moving you to a tracker if you notice immediately you don't have rakeback. When you sign up go to "My Account" and make sure there is a "Stats" button. If not email both supports.
