records are the highest possible sound quality. I mean it is the exact sound. It might not be mixed well, or w/e, but it is the "real" thing.

Ok just so everyone knows the difference between CD and vinyl essentially boils down to matter of opinion.

Yes, collecting vinyl is a serious audiophile thing and yes you can spend 5 digits on a "record player."

Go tell all the CDphiles that vinyl is better.

look for posts by DefinerofReality: http://www.avsforum.com/avs-vb/showt...456&page=5

also, unrelated, some projector screenshot threads on AVS i like (i'm a bit of an A/V geek):

2.35:1 (not 16:9) setups, which is my next project if i get some time in november to build a new screen and do the other necessary stuff:

DIY screen thread. Check out Clarence's screenshots of Ant Bully towards end of first page. He has a CRT projector:

The best theater I've seen on avsforum belongs to oneobgyn:

http://gallery.avsforum.com/showgall.../49235/cat/500

It's a realistic theater (5.1, not a gazillion.bazillion), but has ultra-high end components, including speakers that cost $125k+. Someone calculated the cost of the theater at over $520k.
