The Poker Pothead Average- What is yours?
 

There are a lot of very successful poker players on 2p2 who also happen to smoke a lot of pot. After some serious brainstorming the following was developed to find your worth as both a poker player and a pot head. This is your Poker Pothead Avg (PPA).

All measurements should be done in grams. The best and the brightest should bat around 1.000.

(Avg smoked per week*15+ pot owned*3 + hourly rate)/1000= Your PPA!

example: 4 grams per week on avg, $200/hr, 6 grams owned
4*17= 68 + 6*3= 86 + 200= 286/1000 = .286

.286 average is where I should be, right in the middle of the pack.

Who is the highest? Some players will avg over 1.000. They are the superstars of the game and people we all aspire to be...

We should see some high numbers from some of 2p2s greatest.

Why does amount of pot owned matter? I smoke everyday but rarely hold more than an O at any given time.

i did not. there was a last minute calculation change (from 17 to 15 multiplyr) and i didnt adjust my avg.

17.5*15 + 28*3 + 510 = 262.5 + 84 + 510 = 856.5

856.5/1000 = 0.8565

One thing that should be noted is quality. For instance my current batch is "regs" and hence I ahem *consume* about 14g per week. But with KB it would be around maybe 3-5g.

I'm hoping that upping my intake will help with clarity and drive along with ambition and .. I forgot the rest.

14g per week for personal use is absurd unless youre a famous rapper and only smoke fatty blunts

ill do the math for this later but im thinking im somewhere above 1

((3.5*15)+(14*3)+$15)/1000 = (52.5+42+15)/1000 = .110

PPA of .110, this is almost embarassingly low, this is much worse than anything Nick Punto could do, couple ideas on how to raise my average:

1) use a significant portion of my bankroll to purchase a significant amount of beasters
PRO: increasing my average (~amount purchased*3/1000)
CON: this would surely result in a lower hourly rate b/c of reduced bankroll and increased altitude (maybe increased altitude is another PRO)

2) purchase schwag
PROS:
- increased consumption (increasing PPA ~increased consumption*15/1000)
- no bankroll usage necessary, probably the same hourly rate, maybe slightly improved (less misclicks perhaps)
CONS:
- purchasing schwag
- much lower altitude

3) quit smoking
PROS:
- hourly rate could skyrocket as a result of better play, and reaching $115 an hour would be an increase in PPA)
- more money for bankroll also would improve hourly rate
- improved class grades?
CONS:
- quit smoking
- amount of consumption and amount owned categories would be empty, not taking advantage of the special multiplier variables

Looks like option 2 takes the best advantage of the 15x multiplier as consumption would soar, surely increasing my PPA, however lower altitude is a CON that has an almost equal and opposite effect of the 15x multiplier

Option 1 may be my best option for an overall PPA increase.

Edit: Also there should be a good vaporizer bonus. Cause my usage is probably about 2/3 what it would be without a volcano (and I still get higher than I would!).

PT says $576/hr over 33k hands of 10/20-25/50, blah blah sample size, running good, and i'm missing tons of hands and results which would actually make it a lot higher, but just going off that and what I average smoking and have now...

(35*15) + (140*3) + 576 = 1521/1000

1.521

I am a 2.3

My dad and his GF go through an O a week which is crazy [censored].

From what I can tell they smoke 4-6 joints before work.

My dad comes home at lunch and smokes 2
She comes home after work and smokes 2

Before dinner they smoke 2
30 minutes after dinner they do 2

Normally they shoot pool eveyr night and it is a bunch of stoners and I know they bring 5 out there.

They come home and crank 2 more and go to bed.

Basically my parents smoke like 20 joints albiet pretty small pinners they probably smoke way more than an 1/8th a day.
