Curb Your Enthusiasm 10/21

Interesting episode, for me probably the best of the season.

Loved the end when that chick invited him back to her place and he told her he couldn't have sex because he hurt his balls, lmao. Lots of classic LD stuff in this episode, and overall the episode wasn't outrageously over the top like recent episodes.

The bit where Larry mocked the guy talking on the phone in the restaurant was pretty funny and original despite the whole "make fun of people talking on the phone" thing being a little played.

Also, Leon calling LD "longball Larry" was priceless. They did a similar thing in a previous episode where a dog bit his penis and he had to go to the doctor though, but still a pretty great scene and I really liked the episode.

Just out of curiousity, does any one else feel bad for his character?

I also thought it was a good episode.

I feel so bad for Larry. Really good episode. [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] Leon. The premise of this episode was a little forced, but the episode itself was very good.

Great episode, one of the best so far this season.

Leon is gold. It's funny having to still get used to an entire black family living in Larry's house.

Longball Larry was probably the highlight, but the whole episode was funny. I was sort of disappointed Cheryl was so quick to date someone else, didn't think she was that much of a ho.

I don't get it. There was no punchline, no twists, no nothing. Just LD getting kicked in the balls 15 times.

I agree, funniest show on TV imo alongside The Office and It's Always Sunny. Very good episode, def one of the best of the season. I am surprised he addressed the whole divorce in real life stuff, wasn't sure if he was going to go there.

i really loved this episode. i only wish larry would've made something up to avoid lucy's house so that plot could continue. i think larry's enough of a compulsive liar that he wouldn't just come out and say "i twisted my balls and i can't have sex. that, or lucy could've taken larry's comment as a joke, or taken it more in stride.

I think the point was that Ted Danson hit on her and tried to bang her. She tolk LD that Danson was an A-Hole at the cleaners but didn't say why. Then she called him one when she assumed he wanted to bang her.

Before the season started, I was wondering if David was going to do the divorce storyline. That didn't take long.

Unlike real life, I actually hope they get back together.

Cheryl was a very funny part of the show. And hot.

But her jumping right into a date may have killed that.

If they do actually divorce, I wonder how Cheryl Hines feels. Gets on a great show, then she has to get written out because the show's creator gets a divorce.

Re: Curb Your Enthusiasm 10/21

Just rewatched the episode and I was reminded of something that I thought was a little silly although not really a big deal or anything.

Larry said he "loaned" Simon $10k, and then was mad when he found out that it was for an expensive birthday party. Larry kept saying that he was paying for this guy's party, but he said it was a loan? I can kinda see being a little annoyed that you loaned somebody money for something like that, but he acted like he gave the guy $10k, when the word loan implies you're being paid back (usually with interest).

I'm just being nitty I know, but I felt the need to mention it.

Also, Lucy Lawless (chick who Larry dated) is really sexy in this episode. On the contrary Lewis Black really looks terrible this season, like he's sick or something. Anybody know anything? I did a quick google search and got no info.

The ep was good, but it was such a downer. I feel too bad for LD.

Leon was awesome again though.

Even though I like his wife, hopefully this will mean more Leon because he is hilarious.

Re: Curb Your Enthusiasm 10/21

Excellent episode, probably the best of the season. The only complaint I have is me being a life nit: I hate that HBO uses the same extras in every show, and they never add anyone. Because of this, they "double" extras all the time. The restaurant chick was the same chick that sold LD sunglasses (to give to Jeff's mom) a few seasons ago. Entourage also did this recently, using an apartment saleswoman, then re-using her as the fat "best rimjob in LA" woman. Come on, HBO...there are a billion people trying to crack into showbusiness, so it can't be that hard to find extras.

But like I said, I'm a nit...this episode was fantastic.

Re: Curb Your Enthusiasm 10/21

This episode was a real turnaround from some of the questionable early-season stuff.

There were some great laughs, and really none of those awkward "wish they hadn't done that" scenes (with the possible exception of Larry asking Cheryl to call the restaurant...dumb).

Loved it. Felt like a couple of years ago.

Did anyone else notice that Marty Funkhouser's daughter was played by Blossom (title character of that bad NBC show about 15 years ago)?

Also, the hostess (Iris?) made my teeth sweat.

i don't like how i hate cheryl now, after loving her in every other season, and feel bad for larry. it's great that larry is so oblivious and devoid of emotion that you don't have to feel too bad for him, but still, the episode made me a little sad despite a lot of the jokes being great.

xena looked way hotter than xena too.

until tonight i still hadn't watched last sundays ep cos this season has been pretty crap up until now. anyway i sat down tonight to watch the latest two... wow.

i don't know if i'm just in a good mood or something but i thought these were absolutely fantastic eps. both up to the standard of previous seasons.

i too felt bad for larry but then watching him ask out and flirt with xena was awesome. i just wish they had ended that story better.

Shows better than Entourage, Californication and How I met your mother.
The Office, South Park, Curb, It's Always Sunny.

Fantastic ep, I did feel bad for Larry and do agree Cheryl started dating too quickly.

Leon was good.

I also liked "Don't go. ... Will you call... the restaurant."

fav line/scene was "you know what, I wouldn't care if she left me for a bald guy, but this is like the worst betrayal".
