Re: Openended Straight flush draw faces shove
fold preflop
check/fold flop |
Re: Openended Straight flush draw faces shove
Why are you raising this pre-flop out of the small blind?
|
Re: Openended Straight flush draw faces shove
Im a beginner, and ignorant as i am 76TJ seemed like a good hand, so i decided to punish the limpers and raise it up.
Thanks for the inputs, i realise now how badly i need to tighten up, and perhaps watch my position sometimes too :P |
Re: Openended Straight flush draw faces shove
As others mentioned, it's pointless talking about your post flop play until you learn to fold this preflop rather than raise it from the small blind.

Usually just fold it. |

Re: Openended Straight flush draw faces shove

|
Re: Openended Straight flush draw faces shove

Re: Openended Straight flush draw faces shove
Yes, but you get to hit the mystical 20 out str8 draw....doesn't that excite you?

Re: Openended Straight flush draw faces shove
personally i would open raise the button with this hand and complete, but i dont think open folding is bad its just not my prefered play
|
Re: Openended Straight flush draw faces shove
The key is to only play it against sets. And the tickle of excitement that you have when you hit the draw that gave the wrap its name has much to commend it. Live a little.

Re: Openended Straight flush draw faces shove
Look on the flipside - you have 4567 dominated on an 89x flop. You could also flop a full house / quads on say a TT6 board. But on this flop you're probably in bad shape when he raises. Either he's already got the straight, or he has a better flush draw and you're drawing slim either way.
