hmmn how mant people in Africa
How many people beginning to see poker as a way out of Africa
How many poker pros from Africa

How much profit will they receive from Africa in the next 10 yeears.

IMO this was the best Pokerstars signing in recent times from a business perspective.

I am not sure that a white South African is going to draw a lot of business from Africa, or be a role model for people who see poker as a way out of Africa.

Hahaha, first things first! first food, shelter and clean water, THEN poker riches balling at the bellagio.

Also a person born in africa has 50% of the intelligence of scandinavian players because they spent their lives with no protein in their diet and brain needs protein

Actually the only energy that crosses the blood/brain barrier are glucose molecules. This means pixie stix is brain food.

gregorio 10-16-2007 11:59 PM

Re: Team Pokerstars welcomes...

Wait, so are you actually saying that some people from Africa might be even more than 50% as intelligent as someone from Scandanavia?

The brain uses glucose (a sugar) as 'fuel'. Also, the brain is ~77% water, 10-12% lipids (fats), 8% protein.

haha stars gets 0 action from africa, thats bc they starving physically, pstars should donate .0000000001% of the rake to feed entire africa

Re: Team Pokerstars welcomes...

You all realise Africa is a continent and to think all Africans are starving to death or fleeing from genocide then you dont really realise how many rich African nations there are.

Obviously i havent researched it, but id imagine the number of Africans living in comparable wealth to the west is similar in number to the population of Vegas.

Anyway - im sure the reason has little to do with opening barriers to Africa, and more to do with the fact he was a pretty normal guy who went deep in the ME and got a fair amount of facetime. He is the Ying to Rainkhan's Yang
