Why is Vanessa Rousso famous?
 

I have only been keeping up wiht poker for about a year now, so excuse me for my ignorance. I have looked up her accomplishments and her biggest cash was a recent online
3rd place finish for ~$450K. She has never made a televised final table, and she had never cashed in anything until late 2005. I have seen her play on TV, and she plays A-B-C poker; so it's not her play.

What am I missing?? Why does she get so much attention??

From everything I've heard she was supposed to be the top cashing female last year.. and she's not ugly... She's not super attractive, but she's not horrible looking.

she hasn't made final tables but came 7th at last years wpt championship (btw, she sucks imo)

I would say she is well-known before saying she is 'famous.' Doyle is famous. Rousso is well known among those who play the game.

She does have the 450K tourney cash yet she has also cashed for over 750K in B&M tournaments since 05, and she is attractive, and she has a good agent. That is why she gets the positive attention she does. The negative attention is well documented on this board.
