Yes, not even limping, because you have to fold if raised and there is a big chance someone raises behind you as you're UTG+1. I can see an argument for limping after a limper or two from CO or BTN, but definitely not from EP.

Can anyone walk me through why this is not a fold? I play mostly $5 and $10 SnG's and, barring the guy being a complete maniac, this bet is usually what it looks like.

pf isn't very good in ep, lp is fine. as for the flop, be real with yourself. get it in every single time.

If you are going to fold AJ when you hit two pair and face aggression, you probably shouldn't play AJ.

Ok, are you guys folding AJs in UTG+1 at all buy-ins/turbos? Btw, this is my minimum opening hand in this spot (as advocated by Harrington). What hands are you raising from UTG+1 in lvl I? Are you limping anything?

Limp all pp's and call raises if you get the proper implied odds.
LP you can openraise hands like AJs+,KQs+ etc but I doubt you miss any edge from folding those either.
in Sb i tend to complete if i get a nice odds, but i play the flop very cautious after and check/fold anything worse than 2 pairs.

Limping preflop is fine.
Flop is a really crappy set. Most sets are discounted so I guess he has AQ KT QJ or some sort of combo draw I guess I get it in.

does it look like KJ or KQ or A9? hero is a ahead of villians range so easy call.

I mean a really large reraise usually means the straight, fairly straightforward. I'm getting the impression that there is a lot more deception once you move up a level or two.

I might be having selective memory here but I usually can't convince myself to fold in this situation and I go broke way more often than not.

A huge flop raise makes me think that it's not a made straight you are up against. My guess would be something like AT, KQ, or some combo flush/inside straight draw.

I called. MP1 had the straight and MP3 (raiser) had ATo in, I believe.

i hate limping AJs ep I'd rather play it for a raise...AJo id turbomuck
