Game concept: werewolf in sheep\'s clothing

This is an idea that's been kicking around my head for a couple months, and it's time to flesh it out. Here it is, in a nutshell:

I start a werewolf game by posting a round of sheep questions.

If the wolves get a better average score than the villagers, it goes night, day, night. If the villagers get a better average score than the wolves, it goes day, night, day.

Then the surviving players play another round of sheep, to see if phases 4-6 will be night-day-night or day-night-day. The same for 7-9, 10-12, etc.

On average, it should result in the same number of nights as days; in practice there'll be some randomness (and, yes, some unfairness according to which team has the best sheep players on it.)

Soooo...

* do you like the idea? would you play it?

* would you trust the wolves, just on their honour, to submit independent answers to the sheep?
I wish I could, but frankly, I don't. I could use "outside" questions, which makes it more like family feud than sheep, so that identical submissions don't automatically boost each others' scores, or something, but I'd like a better solution for that.

Suggestions welcome.

Regarding the latter question..

You have to trust them to do it independently. We can all cheat in any of these games we play. Trustworthiness is what this whole community is based on because of the type of games we play. I'd have no problem being a villager in that scenario.

Chim is right.

In any case, here's how you could break this:
Talking about sheep questions beforehand, planning out answers. You can also talk about what you answered on the previous question.

You're also assuming value of extra lynch = NK + peek. Eh.. I'm ok with this.

Conclusion: You should limit how much sheep is talked in thread.

I think it would be better if the wolves submitted only one entry as a team.

what about posting the scores of people for the questions. It would limit collusion if any player could analyze the results.

s: Posting the scores might also allow people to deduce who was on each team, which is not the intention.

v: How much better than average would you expect one entry submitted by the wolves after discussing to be?

How about this...

1.) Get people to sign up

2.) Get these people to answer all sheep questions needed for the whole game

3.) Give out roles

4.) Calculate scores and reveal as you go along only counting those left in game.

i think trying to deduce the teams based on the scores is sexy

perhaps give the answers but assign a letter for each player, so if someone has some sort sick read that I would likely say "blue whale" or something, then they can figure out im evil

Having the scores used for deduction would be...welll... interesting... but add quite a different aspect to the game than I had originally been thinking of. I could be persuaded to try it that way. Also leaves room for various things (not classically part of WW) like making the winner of the sheep unlynchable/unkillable for the next day. I am less sure I could be persuaded to include that.

One other thing -- seeing as the seer is a villager... would you give him two peeks when the wolves win, or when the villagers win? (In standard WW he submits a peek at night, and receives a reply from the mod at the start of the next day. Either interpretation is possible.)

Re: Game concept: werewolf in sheep\'s clothing

i would think if the wolves get 2 nks the seer should get two peeks- which could present an interesting dilemma for the wolves who may decide to tank the sheep, because they would want to get some reads to seer hunt

you can definitely trust everyone. half the games on pog are done on trust... hell even in a turbo ww whats to stop someone from playing 2 accounts or pm/iming each other.

ppl just dont cheat on pog ever.

tbh i dont really like the idea. just seems more annoying than enjoyable. just imo. i would still maybe play tho
