http://www.worldseriesofpoker.com/to...sp?groupID=360

Other people have expressed interest in going in the October Challenge thread and I was wondering if anyone else was going. I should be going, about a 3 hour drive for me. Only able to play the first two events cause that's all my friend is able to stay for (sandler1860 on stars) . Just wondering if anyone else is going. my first live tourney, too. holla.

What kind of turnout do these get and should I get there early to register? Which other hotels would anyone recommend?

CI's my local B&M. If they run it like they have the others, you have to show up at 6 AM to get the ticket, then you have to go back at noon to register (with your ticket), and then you just come back prior to the event start at 3 PM to get seated. Kind of annoying to have to do all those things at such a spread out time. The most recent freeroll they did was a 10k winner take all -- this one I should hope will have a flatter payout structure, but obviously you can make a deal.

yai called, they mentioned getting a ticket at 6, registering at 11, then somethin else.. but its open to everyone?

it says winner takes 25k, then 15k i guess spread out among others, but obviously deal could take place..

so i couldnt get there at like 11 for the ticket?

You can show up for a ticket later, but they start registering based on the ticket numbers, so earlier will guarantee you a seat.

The last one was 2k max so this one probably will be as well. I don't know if they got close to that, but there were about 400 people there lined up before they started handing out tickets at 6 AM, and a lot more came in right at and shortly thereafter.

Should be more people this time because of the increased prize pool as well as people playing because this is the WSOP Circuit stuff and not just the Denny Crum Poker Open (which is what the last freeroll was for).

I'm going for a few events. I've never been though, anyone know what the poker room is like?

The room itself isn't bad. Plenty of room to move around. The people that run it are idiots though. I live 40 mins away and rufuse to play there. It's a joke.

For the people playing there this year, I hope for your sakes they have better dealers than they've had in the past.

going to be a lot of better players showing up this year, the 5k won't quite as super soft as it has been, but still obv horribly bad. I'm playing the 500 6 max, 1k, 500r, and the 5k, maybe a couple others.
