these support guys are brutal.

2% of the prize pool is the TOTAL prize pool. That's how it worked in the WCOOP too...

Not the 'remaining' pool...

Why correct him? You get more guaranteed cash this way.

Yeah, not sure if it was good to correct him or not. I would have preferred to correct him if I was a big stack I think and not correct him if I was short, but w/e.

BTW, Juan = dumb and RichardR = not dumb.

Re: Sweat markbris. FT of Sunday 100k

Yea I think it was only like 300 dollar difference to me on the money left to play for thing. So I really wanted the chance for alot more after the deal rather than the small guaranteed increase.

mark - you in the Oct TLB challenge? Hope so - this'll help...

(for those not watching 3-handed now... Mark's got about 10M, other two have 20M each.)

Watch it Mark - I any talk of "let me win" will get stars pretty pissy about collusion...

Just play it out...

Congrats on the win.

mflip - i saw on another thread you wrote that I played a hand atrociously. I'm not a tourney player, so I don't mind the criticism. I mostly play 6max cash games, and played this tourney on a whim.

Besides my AQ push into AK where I lost a lot of chips, I don't recall any hand I played poorly. And I thought that hand was vs Gab. But whatever the case, let me know what I did wrong and what your thoughts were.

I was talking about the hand where you doubled mark in a 3 way pot. You raised pre, mark jammed in the SB then the BB called. You either need to decide that the BB never flats a marginal hand and you are behind and fold, or else that he wouldn't flat a big hand and jam to get it HU with mark with all the overlay. Instead you called for (I think) more than 1/3 of your stack.

Big Congrats to mark. Way to take it down after the chop.

Re: Sweat markbris. FT of Sunday 100k

mflip-

I may be a tourney newbie, but I'm not a total idiot.

With blinds at 100k/200k, I opened to 600k in the cutoff. Your friend shoved for 350k more (950k total), and SB cold called with AQ. Believe me, I wanted to jam the hell out of it here, but because Mark's raise was not a legal re-raise, I was not able to overshove. Stars only gave me the option to call the extra 350k because the raise was not a legal 400k re-raise.

So on this hand at least, I can defend myself

Re: Sweat markbris. FT of Sunday 100k

Hey guys, total take for me was right around 7K. Me and deuce actually made a deal HU to send the loser 1700 of the 3500 we were playing for HU. So I think he took in about 7500 since he got more in the original deal than I did. I was very happy with it though and HU was very good even though long.

Edit: Even though I think I already did, big thanks to BlueEcho, Sherman, Mflip, and MJbuddy that have helped me out alot lately and put up with all my hand questions everyday.

Big grats man. I heard you were deep when Blue made it through the bubble but my internet went out all night (until about 40 minutes ago) so this is the first I'm hearing of results.

Great job.

gg mark, wasnt a great deal, but i know it's alot of $$$ to you so no biggy. Congrats on beating 17000 runners man, sick.

Re: Sweat markbris. FT of Sunday 100k

Yea i thought about the deal, I was short at the time though and could see myself going out soon so taking the 5.3K guaranteed seemed good to me, plus I would be able to play for a goodsized chunk after that. I mean now that I won it it would be nice to get a larger amount but i coulda easily gone out on the first flip I had right after the deal and gotten less money than what I did.

Deuce250 10-08-2007 10:13 PM

Re: Sweat markbris. FT of Sunday 100k

Even though with the deal i made roughly 2K less than i would have taking second I was thinking the same way as mark. The 2.8K extra was just too big for me to turn down given my roll.
