Pokersites integrity

Would you trust this guy?

Once upon a time there was a man called Jack.
Jack lived on a tiny island miles from anywhere.
He had a computer game that he designed and produced that could be played over the internet. Anybody could play as long as they paid enough money.

Jack said that anyone with a little knowledge and skill could turn their initial investment into alot more.
Now there was no proof that Jack was telling the truth or anyone watching over him checking he was honest, the players just had to have a little blind faith.

Jack was not under any jurisdiction and couldn't be sued by any players who lost.

Jack then decided to try and give some credibility to his game so he paid Jill to say he was running a fair game, but of course because he paid her, she was never gonna say anything contradictory.

Jack then paid professional players to say they played his game and how good it was, but they only ever played with the money given to them by Jack and of course like Jill never said anything bad about the game or Jack.

If and when a player won some money, Jack would try and delay payment and investigate any ways of not paying but this didn't happen very much.

You see Jack could tweak the game any way he liked because he developed it in house, this way he would make new players win a little to start with, to get them hooked and thinking they were better than they were. But then over time Jack would tweak it again so eventually the player would lose all their investment, and have to redeposit to keep playing.

Jack even paid people to write about how well they were doing with his game and how much money they were making, but of course these were all lies too. The only winner here is Jack and his friends and the only losers were the players.

Would you trust Jack and want to play his game?

NO I thought not, now reread the story but this time replace the word Jack with Party Poker, Pokerstars, Full tilt or any other favourite poker site, and ask yourself the same question would you trust them?

It never fails to amaze me what stupid replies people leave, single line insults that really only serve to make the responder look stupid.

You may or may not agree its rigged but surely someone out there can muster a decent reply of a few well written lines or paragraphs not the usual" rubbish, or insults, go on try if you think really hard surely someone out there could have a sensible counter argument.

Yeah, if only someone took hours to write a FAQ to do with internet gambling to stop such questions popping up.
Maybe we could hire someone to perform such a task.

i'll have a go at it. do you have any clue as to how a random number generator works? do you think it is really possible to manipulate millions of hands individually? or that it is even +ev to do so. poker hooks people on its own, you dont need some mythical figure to do it for you

If your all right and im so wrong, how much do you win?

Whenever i say its rigged, all im met with is insults and people saying im wrong, but when i ask how much you same people make, everyone goes quiet. It happens all all forums.

So prove it to me and no lies, please how much do you people make, cos my belief is that noone makes consistent money online.

I actually thought you're OP post was nigh decent cause you all sneakily threw in the bit at the end to hold us in suspense. Then I read this...clearly some people get the BOOMSwitCH (cool how I put the 'wit' in undercase?)

Jack would make the game so there are slight winners, and slight losers. Jack would NEVER take all the money, cuz once the money is gone, its gone. Also, Jack doesnt win when you lose any more than he wins when you win. He wins either way, so Jack just wants you to play. Therefore, Jacks best bet is to make you put all your chips in and get them all back, minus the rake of course!

Re: Pokersites integrity

I have had a look at the graphs. And quite frankly they havent changed my opinion about it being rigged.

Sure there seems to be winning players but over a month, are there graphs that say cover longer e.g. a year?

The point of the rigging accusation is that you will win to start or after you have deposited etc, but gradually the sites will take back those winnings.

Another point is that people who are willing to bother to post graphs will be more inclined to do so when they are winning and not when they are losing.

1 month of graphs is just too small a time frame to prove they are consistently winning.

I didnt actually see that many that were winning, and out of the thousands of people that use this forum i would expect (if not rigged) to see a lot more.

Of course anyone could edit the graphs very easily if they wanted to, and pokersites employees could add graphs aswell.

This was obviously the wrong place to post, and it seems as i am preaching to the converted, but it is posted elsewhere and i seem to have alot more people agreeing with me there.
