i'm like the queen of failed meetups, but i like starting threads so:

i will be in the bay area the weekend of 10/25-10/28 for a variety of non-poker reasons. still, i hope to get in some time at the 8/16 i've been hearing so much about. friday afternoon/evening is probably when i'll have poker time available.

now you can post and tell me that you'll be going out of town for exactly the dates when i'll be there, and you can also tell all the 1/2 regulars to move down to 8/16 for one night and pummel me into dust.

my current plan is to head to Bay 101 on Friday afternoon so i can hopefully get a seat.

unless i suddenly start running good, this will probably be the last time i play 8/16 for a while, so come take my mobnies whilst i am bleeding them $16 and $32 at a time.

you should come to vegas and just follow me around my day-to-day life. it would (apparently) be hilarious to you.

i have a number of issues with the military-industrial complex, but standardized use of 24h time is not one of them.

Yay, got the go-ahead from hubbie, so I'll be there at 2100. Since the wait list for 6/12 and 8/16 will be 2 miles long, I'll probably sign up for the 20/40.

How long were you planning on staying, maybe we can get a beer or something after. Or before. or...

not sure how long i'm going to stay. it depends on who else shows up (my friends as well as microers), how bad i run, etc.

btw, i should be pretty easy to find between the beard and the socks. i may even be wearing my 650 hat. so basically, look for the dorkiest white guy in the room and that will be me.


edit: bravos also knows what i look like and has my cel number.

yeah..that sucks... I actually had to leave around 7:00 or so because I had to get home to the family...not sure how late Tyler stayed, but the 8/16 table he was sitting at was on the far far left side of the room where the typically have the spread games running.

brag: i left around 2000 to go get indian buffet at Bombay Gardens in sunnyvale.

beat: lost 2 month's rent in a terrific 8/16 game.

variance: ate so much food that it's tomorrow now and i'm *still* full. hopefully i will be hungry again for rad ethiopian food in the city.

I was up about $215 or so at one point, and then ran a bit bad... left up ~$35 LOL
