Re: downswinging towards suicide...line checks
1 i 4 bet or flat the flop
2 is fine 3 is fine 4 is fine 5 is fine running bad imo |
Re: downswinging towards suicide...line checks
I believe KK hand is foldable to the all in.
last JJ hand is player dependent, but its not a bad call. U ran like [censored]. gl |
Re: downswinging towards suicide...line checks
Hand 1 don't like the reraise, and when he 3bet shoves, no way you beat him there with 1 pair.
Hand 2 preflop WTF Hand 3 whatever, he's got little left behind anyway. Hand 4 his shove is insane, but why would he do that?? He knows you aren't folding when you've shown strength, so surely he is doing this to want you to call.. do you really then want to see what he has??? Hand 5 just fold PLEASE, you've made 2 big PSB's and he's putting you all in, they are almost never bluffing here. |
Re: downswinging towards suicide...line checks
hand 2 your bet sizing is so weird - you c/r like half pot on the flop but then full pot the turn? i just don't understand what you're thinking. i'd rather c/r full pot then bet less on the turn... maybe you could explain your thoughts?
fold hand 4. and why are you full potting on hand 5? i think the way you played it is maybe the only way you can fold to that shove. just bet less ffs. |
Re: downswinging towards suicide...line checks
hand 5 is the only hand that looks reasonably foldable
downswings suck :[[[[ |
Re: downswinging towards suicide...line checks
1) I would probably try to get it in pre since the guy has <90 bb's. Postflop is okay.
2 and 3 seem okay. 4) 2+2 has a hard on for snap calling overbets, so I don't think anyone will hate on you too much for this but I think it's really close. A read would also be very helpful. 5) I would bet less on the turn and fold to the raise. |
Re: downswinging towards suicide...line checks
you gotta get away from the KK hand. the JJ hand is close...

Re: downswinging towards suicide...line checks
Hand 2 sucks imo - 3 bet pf all day this deep
|
Re: downswinging towards suicide...line checks
Meh hand 4, I see bad players showing up with a worse overpair or some crap enough to make the call. I'm assuming it's not the most solid of players.
Would you fold with 22 in hand 4? If not, what do you expect him to show up with after you call? |
Re: downswinging towards suicide...line checks
hand 1 might seem standard but i prefer calling the flop and folding to a turn bet since there is nothing u beat except a bluff and 1 hand u tie - ak (if hes defending loosely with hands like aj then maybe different).
hand 2, obviously ppl will say u have to raise pf and i prob would, but w/e, u were mixing it up and i cant c u getting away from it the way it was played, u have to bet the river with so little money behind u - ur missing too much value from aj, queens or kings IMO. hand 3 seems fine also, most ppl r/r sets on boards like oop, and he doesnt have a full buy-in so u can prob expect him to stack off with most jacks and some draws - if u had a read that turn donks were strong, could be different. hand 4 is most avoidable IMO, only reason to call that is if villain had been very spewy and fishy and u could expect him to shove any overpair or any draw. hand 5 seems questionable, quite a few draws he can have plus some overpairs and a pair of eights which might come along. Plus, hes prob raising his strong hands on flop like that. pretty player dependant, if he stacks off with tp or better, insta call. |

Re: downswinging towards suicide...line checks
Revisiting this thread, the thing no one's mentioned is that in a mega 13K downswing, these hands(except Hand 3) are just not hands you want to raise/shove/bluff with. In normal situations they are marginal at best, but when you aren't hitting a thing and feel that you've been playing bad and down 13K, first thing you should do is tighten up and play a typical 22/13 game for a while. Stop the losses, build confidence, and then increase your calling range and aggression again.
