stoxtrader quit poker for stoxpoker?

I heard that stoxtrader basically quit playin' poker cus his stoxpoker site was blowin up so much.. is that true?

I can't imagine him making more than he could the way he was crushing both LHE and NL nosebleed stakes..

anyway anyone have confirmation that stoxtrader quit?

This makes no sense at all. Where did you hear it? Check out his blog at stoxpoker. That would seem to confrim that he has not quit. Though he hasn't posted in 5 days--when he posted his results for the last 2 months (up $169,000)--so maybe he quit since then.

He still plays. About 12K hands/week. He posted a pt screen shot recently where he was up 170K for the past 7 weeks, iirc.

his site has to be making ungodly ridiculus money. Probably at least 1M per month.

He also sold TITN, which had to be worth a fortune.

You definitely were misinformed on this one. He maybe doesn't play as much as he once did, but he is certainly still playing quite a bit and doing really well in fact.

From the old videos I've seen, they were Stoxtrader (UB), Stoxtrader (FTP), Stoxtradr (InterP), MiaMia5 (Party).

yea, this is very wrong. he is doing well i'm sure and i can't see a scenario in which he doesn't go to the interwebs to make manis via poker.

The site is actually not really making money at this point. All revnue is basically getting reinvested into the technology and growth of the site.

This is pretty funny stuff - if you go to the site you see twenty or 30 new posts a day and most of them by the four major owners. I think they would be happy with 50k a month at this point.

As much as the $1m a month is an exaggeration, the above quote is an exaggeration on the other end. The forums have become quite active. Our posts now represent a pretty small percentage of the total posts on the site. While Yertle's comment was definitely true 6 months ago, that is luckily not the case anymore.

leatherass,

The page won't load at all when I try to open up the vids section. Is the site just busy as hell right now? it was working fine for me yesterday. Could it have anything to do with the fact that I have watched like 10 vids since I joined 24 hours ago?

That would kind of fail to satisfy long term. The funny thing about this project is that my brain is kind of wired to the tune that I'm doing it for free. While the possibility of it producing a sort of stable substantial monthly in appealing it would be almost impossible for my income off the site to pass 5-10% of my monthly earn at the tables if I'm playing what I would consider to be full time hours (and not because I'm being stingy with the site numbers either). That being said, I have a lot of fun doing it, and the project is a great project in and of itself. Being able to quantify and explain things I do at the table on a conscious level also further helps me to better understand some of the material I deal with, so I do get a bit of a nice kickback there in that in coaching other people I end up doing a lot of self-coaching as well. So that's where all the power-point presentation videos and other mumbo-jumbo come from. Personally I think we're producing a wicked product, and at this point I think our biggest challenge is just trying to establish people's awareness of it.
