Friends

Ok, I'll give a little poker history. Been playing for 3 years now seriously until last year I took a year off. In that time I took home 40k dollars cos I played when the donks were everywhere. So last year I start uni and stop playing as my mum is worried I'll become addicted and I was getting a bit bored and tilting too much. So uni goes on and I play a bit at the casino in tourneys and lose and generally don't care as I have no student loan and am making a tidy sum on the interest of my winnings and so compared to my mates I'm loaded. So in the holiday I load up full tilt and find I have $1000 left, I knew I had some but not that much. So I play for a few hours and stop on $450. So uni comes and I start playing some 200NL and lose it $200 when QQ beats AK. This was in front of my friends and one of them went mad, going on about how its blowing money. So then 3 of them decide to BAN me from playing as I'm wasting money.

The next day I play 2 tables of 100NL and am 100$ up when I go to the kitchen to get a drink. I come back and they've hijacked my computer and demanding to know why I'm playing again. I say I can play if I want, that was 2 days ago.

Today I wake up and go downstairs, as I'm eating alone in the siting room the other 5 people I'm living with come in and tell me that they've installed wireless and also NetNanny so they can monitor my activities and that I'm not to play poker. They looked up my screenname on Sharkscope and showed me I'm a losing player and gave me some printouts of gamblers anonymous. I was stunned and so we rang my mum who confirmed that I had won a lot of money on poker. I had mentioned this to friends but they hadn't believed it and I hadn't gone on and on about it.

So basically the only way they will allow me to play poker is if I play maximum 2 hours a day ONLY at weekends and I'm only allowed to deposit $50 on a new site so they can see my sharkscope.

I want to get back into poker and this is ridiculous. Anyone had anything remotely similar, these guys are my mates but all of them are acting like dicks. I've grinded the low levels and was going to deposit $1000 and try the 100NL tables and get back into PLO but now it seems like I will have to play $5 SnGs max REGARDLESS how good I am or how much money I make. It's [censored] ridiculous.

Help???

Thankfully most people don't have friends like yours.

Mr. Hammock, what you've just said is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever heard. At no point in your rambling, incoherent response were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it. I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.

If your a winning player, tell them to go [censored] themselfs while you make more money than they could wish for. And if they try and change you passwords or steal your computer, start cracking heads.

How in the world could you even let that happen to you?

If my mom was worried that I had a gambling problem, she would be the first one I would call to help convince my friends that I should continue gambling.

Re: Friends

In a comparison of personal relationships, friendship is considered to be closer than association, although there is a range of degrees of intimacy in both friendships and associations. Friendship and association can be thought of as spanning across the same continuum. The study of friendship is included in sociology, anthropology, philosophy, and zoology. Various theories of friendship have been proposed, among which are social psychology, social exchange theory, equity theory, relational dialectics, and attachment styles.

In the sequence of the emotional development of the individual, friendships come after parental bonding and before the pair bonding engaged in at the approach of maturity. In the intervening period between the end of early childhood and the onset of full adulthood, friendships are often the most important relationships in the emotional life of the adolescent, and are often more intense than relationships later in life. However making friends seems to trouble lots of people; having no friends can be emotionally damaging in some cases. Sometimes going years without a single friend can lead to suicide.

I think your "friends" are worried they might become jealous if you win too much.

You might want to look up the definition of "friend"

all deserve a KITN. Including your mom. And you. And Micheal Moore.

Re: Friends

[censored] that you need to get back on that computer and keep winning money like you've been doing. This 1000$ is such a small amount of money it means nothing so ofc your just gonna mess around with it. Just keep playing using your bankroll management you used at the start, and watch the franklins roll in. And also come take my money please, im getting sick of having it. This is not your friends life, its yours!

Btw whats your sharkscope that would solve a lot of problems
