Re: QQ in 3bet pot HU

if he's 3bet you once or twice over a smallish sample i would 4bet pre flop here (espc as you are oop) and it will make it easier to play with smaller remaining stacks.

as played...
c/r-ing here would fold out all ak/aq hands which you dont wanna do.

so i probs just c/c here, let him keep bluffing w/ ak/aq or think his tt/jj is good. reevaluate on the turn, you probably have to stack off on turn and not be happy about it.

asume i call and turn comes blank and he bet near 3/4 of pot... whats our move?

Re: QQ in 3bet pot HU

crai (or call an allin on) the turn, happily

Re: QQ in 3bet pot HU

I hate spots like this, calling here and folding to a bet on the turn really sucks as you'll have over a third of your stack in here. Maybe called and CRAI on a blank turn, with this line I don't really see TT or JJ calling. I'd be interested to wee what other people suggest.

If you think the villain would fire two barrels with AK,AQ,TT-JJ then CRAI. If he's only going to be doing this with KK+. Fold...........but it sucks.

I kind of like shoving now, as oppose to waiting till the turn. We really don't want to see any turn card T+.

4-bet pf or lead the flop.

Actually he can have 99+, AQ, AK, indeed AJs.
Check that flop is terrible because you lost a lot of information...now the pot is bigger and you dont know what to do.
After the check...the best is call and CRAI the turn.

Is AK really 2 barreling the way action went?

[/ QUOTE ]The only thing right about this part of your post is that the pot is bigger.

I concurring with shoving and with the statement you don't want to see TT+ t/r. Shoving is safer and you would get the call vs w/ JJ/TT on this board.

Re: QQ in 3bet pot HU

Why would lead the flop be a bad option? I would probably lead a 9high flop in a 3bet pot. Assuming his 3betting range is TT+ ,AKo,AKs, you will gain information here leading the flop.
If he pushes you have a decision to make but by checking you let him fire a barrel with some hands you beat like TT or AK and if you raise then you're commited...

you answer your own question.

What information do you get by leading the flop?

If he pushes you have a decision to make

[/ QUOTE ]

So if you still have a decision to make, then you haven't got any useful information, have you? He could still have JJ couldn't he? So you have no useful information.

[ QUOTE ]
but by checking you let him fire a barrel with some hands you beat like TT or AK

[/ QUOTE ]

and this is a bad thing, how? You realise you want him to put money into the pot when he has a worse hand. You don't want to make a play that gets him to fold all his worse hands and call you with all his better hands.

[ QUOTE ]
and if you raise then you're commited...

which is good, because we want to be AI, we have a monster.

4-bet/call pre-flop. as played c/shove the flop. force him to make a good fold w/ TT/JJ before a scare card hits.

Re: QQ in 3bet pot HU

If hes pretty aggressive heads up I have no idea why you didnt 4-bet PF, definitely launch on flop though.
