Re: 50NL : QQ oop v donk
I check/call that turn or if it gets checked behind on the turn I'd shove the river, you obviously can't fold at this point.

Re: 50NL : QQ oop v donk
wow this turn does suck - Heads up I would feel good about check - calling, but 3 way against donks one of them has Ax like always here. IDK, I might nit up and check fold or check/call something small.

Re: 50NL : QQ oop v donk
I'd shove the turn here. You're not laying down here with nearly half your stack already in. So you're commited here and the chances of a check-down are nearly nil so just push the turn and hope a Q falls on the river. If you check and he pushes the turn are you gonna fold? If so, by all means check and salvage what's left of your stack and go tilto.
If you would have popped to ~5 pre-flop you could have saved your stack in this spot and moved on to the next hand. Especially against known loose players. |
Re: 50NL : QQ oop v donk
You got half a PSB left, I'm shoving here. Checking around twice is rarely going to happen, and check-folding is weak IMO if both opponents are donks.
Let's shove. |
Re: 50NL : QQ oop v donk
I say check/call. If we push we're only getting called by hands that beat us. If we c/c we could catch some bluffs.

I dont think theres any real good line here, but am I the only one who thinks shoving turn is terrible. at least one of these donks have Ax here like always

Re: 50NL : QQ oop v donk
I like pf and flop.
We have $30 left on the turn and IMO we're not committed to the rest of that going in, so that is no reason to shove. I also think this is a classic FToP spot. We also have to say villain's flop call is pretty damned strong, even for a station. If we consider villain's flop calling range, it includes a fair few pp's, sets, lots of Jx, odd 7x hands (K7s?), maybe a sc even, as well as quite a few Ax's. As there are not 2 streets of value there if we are ahead, and as we almost certainly fold the hands we beat in that range with a bet, I check. > If villain bets pot behind (shoves basically), I'm probably out on the basis that this donk-station has an A/set much more often than he's bluffing. With history, that might change - I'll often look-up an insta-push from an aggromonkey. > If villain checks behind, I vb river $16, fold to a push, saving ~35% of my stack. > If villain flat calls behind our river vb, it's with KJ/QJ/JT/whatever, and we know he would have folded to a turn bet anyway. |
Re: 50NL : QQ oop v donk
I check and hope for check down and make the crying call if he pushes but I'm not sure if thats right considering how awfully icky that turn card is, and that's if he didn't have you beat on the flop with a limped KK,AA, or JJ.
