Sidenote with the weird stack sizes of the SB/BB I may raise a little higher pre (375ish) to try to get the big stack to go away a fraction more often...also makes this a bit easier post flop...

k, I put him all in, and he insta called and showed AA. I'm not being results orientated here, but what I thought might have happened is that he was going for a stop-n-go with KJ or K10 or Jx and when he hit checked to maximize value.

Betting is the best way to hit your two-outer, the best way to get him to make a mistake, and, well, it's your only choice unless you are certain you're beat for some reason.

I've seen weak players in 4.40/180 or 5.50/45s do this with bad aces and really low PPs. It's like they don't want to commit to the hand, but they don't have the sense to fold. Thus, I would put him all in at those levels, anyway.
